Same general look for one-sixth the cost...
The Maserati and the FR-S. The FR-S is one-sixth the cost for nearly the same look. Thoughts?

Pretty close! The FR-S still has a sexier face though.

I definitely agree with this after I saw a Gran Turismo on the road last week; I saw a flashy red car approaching from the opposite end of the road the other day; at a distance of about a quarter mile I fully believed for a second I was about to greet another Firestorm FR-S; the resemblance is there for sure; How the nose points agressively downwards & similar headlight orientation; Then I noticed the huge signature crown in the grille =P
I have to say I like the face of the FR-S more for sure in a drive-by comparison, but what I like most about the Gran Turismo is the more angular and agressive windshield/ roof line; I guess if Toyota wasn't trying to optimize for some cargo space, they could have moved the canopy back a few inches to give that sleeker look with the windshield line =P Overall I was surprised by the similarity between both cars & am pretty happy by it too

Hmmm
The Maserati isn't a FR-S statement like: I've thought about this and it makes good sense for me. The FR-S isn't a Maserati statement like: Sukka, ya sukka, ya; mine mine mine, ya loosa. Somehow a Toyobaru is special, and, don't ask me why, but the Maserati isn't. IMO |

To me, a Maserati is the car you buy when you can not quite swing that Ferrari. They are also softer and more touring oriented cars. I also just do not see it, other then proportions.

Nice comparison! The funny thing is, I see way more Maseratis in LA than FR-Ss. Hopefully the tide will turn soon.

Masarati... all the cost/maintenance of a Ferrari without the prestige or performance of a Ferrari.

I compared both (in the looks), but I just don't see FR-S look like Maserati to me... IDK maybe my eyes need to get check.
I do like both of em for sure

It's only 1/6th of the Maserati.
Don't fool yourself. |

REPLACE WITH TRD MODEL!!! honestly, you pick the done up MC model of the Gran Turismo that looks exactly like the TRD 86 but you put a standard FR-S for comparison. common, laziness?
