I have a 6266 on the street if I roll on the gas I can fog the tires all the way to 4th gear. That's cruising at 2k and rolling on the gas at 4k I'm up in smoke... I bolted the slicks on it the other day and went for a cruise 3rd gear broke loose mid way. You won't have these problem with a 5858. If your spinning your not winning. A 5858 is much more controllable and way easier to put the power to the ground. Oh and by the way I was on a 7psi wastegate spring... Ultimately the choice is yours, but if I wanted to do what you want to do I would hands down get a 5858. A 10s pass is no joke. Now with this being said a 6262 with the smallest housing will be equivalent to a 5858 but you will loose top end choking it down. That's why I would suggest the 5858 you will get the best of both worlds.

How do you guys combat the transmission going through gears other than having a spare one lying around? I already have problem with my 4thr gear and I'm only running 300hp

Theyre cheap enough, Justin and I both have access to a couple each lol. I only just recently broke my first though, which was surprising.

They are almost identical, 58-76 trim. Actually the 3076 is a 76.60 and the 5858 is a 76 trim

Both are around the 620-640 hp mark. I know the gtx3076r uses water lines. Not sure about the 5858.

The 5858 has ceramic ball bearing and is oil cooled. Back in the day precision turbos had a high failure rate but they got their shit together and now are making awesome turbos. Garrett has been the standard forever... Cant go wrong with either the 5858 or the gtx3076r...
