LaminX
Hi all.
In South Africa, we just apply a protective film over the lites (tails and heads). They come in various colors (even clear). As long as you have HID's on your headlights it should be fine to use a gun-smoke film over them. As for the tails, the gun-smoke will take care of the issue. Simple to apply, using some soapy water, applicator card and a heat gun. You can even apply them without removing the lights if you're patient enough. Search for LaminX on Google. |

I actually prefer the taillights and over all look of the 05-06 Tacomas over the 08/09 and current model. Only thing i like about the newest ones is the TRD off road decal on the side is grey and not the red

I'll be doing the cutouts on my vinyl wrapped lights sometime this week, just like I did in that chop.

ive painted taillights the same color as my car before. you need to leave a certain amount of original lens showing bc paint wont let too much light through even with super bright LED bulbs(ive tried lol). you can get pretty creative with doin it ive seen ppl go as far as to incorporate designs to have lens still showing.
