Thanks! I bought it from a used car dealer that has mostly upper tier cars on their lot. Lexus, Mercs, BMs, Audis, Porsches etc. The place was nice and I payed $24000 with all the tax and stuff included, got 7000 down from my past suv.

Not sure if it was a good deal, but love the car so for me it was.

I'm sure, you did good. Again, it is a fantastic car for the money. The whiners are too stupid to know what they have.

He is a she. Your assumptions suck ass. Still awaiting objective proof which should be easy.

Question for all, would headers and a tune drastically reduce my gas milage while driving normally on the highway, normal speeds etc.? MPG was one deciding factor in buying this car so just curious.

Nope.

But the extra pep in your step may make you want to mash the gas pedal more, therefore reducing your mpg.

If you are concerned about gas mileage and reliability, I'd suggest you just stick with the muffler and drop in air cleaner mods that you have.

I have a "theory" that there is very little that you can do with that engine that will increase its gas mileage or reliability .....

(others may disagree.....)

Mods for torque and HP automatically excludes mileage. You need to decide what you want. I'm happy to break 25 MPG with gasoline, 20 with E85. I try to get those numbers as low as I can, because fun. Wrong car for MPG, even if stock.

My next full tank will be 87 (US) octane, 91 OFT tune, post data logs. I will drive the car not like a dumbass. IAM will not reach zero.

With a good tune and headers you can actually get same if not better mpg than stock.

the aftermarket tune is not governed by emissions constraints as is stock tune (unless its a carb compliant tune). catless headers increase efficiency. The tuner can tune for max efficiency/mpg at lower rpm and while cruising, then go for max power at mid./upper rpm and loads.

The mpg you get is largely determined by your driving style and the type of driving city/highway.
