Jay Leno will be reviewing the Fr-s

Rather than wait for a video to appear, I will post the link to his website so everyone can watch the video the moment it is available on Monday.

Jay Leno's Garage

I know he isn't the ideal reviewer but I think it couldn't hurt to watch. I can't wait to see what he has to say. The more information, the better.

Considering his extensive car collection, and the fact that he selects cars for their uniqueness, not just because they're fast or pretty or of a particular make, I'm very interested to hear his comments on the car. I think he's a great reviewer for this particular car.

Jay is pretty stand up guy. He used to frequent the Rock Store on Mulholland back in the days and would shoot the shit with everyone about cars and motos.

I wouldn't be surprised if he took an FR-S and put a jet engine in it.

Pourquoi? I'm curious. He doesn't strike me as a negative guy.

Leno has a weird style when he talks about cars. Its obvious he loves cars but he talks about them like a tired tour guide. As if the viewers of his show are the 8,000 person he has talked to about the same topic that month. He also has kind of a snarky edge, that is just on the edge of sarcasm. I get the feeling he is a kind of snob. Not the kind that looks down on you for lack of money or manners, but because he thinks everyone is just so stupid and predictable. I think he got that way because his mediocre show gets so much attention. It seem like an extension of his self-loathing. That's pretty typical with stand-up comics. Anyway, the review will probably be fairly good, but his attitude will likely be annoying.

I was so happy when Conan replaced him, but then he threw a huge bitch-fit... I'm a Conan man myself. (I'd rather Conan review the car, just so I could lmao when tall tall goofy guy tries to fit in there and crack some seriously funny jokes)

He hated the 350 Z because he couldn't "hang his arm out the window and look cool while driving". Im not making this up. I can't wait to see what he says about the FR-S.

Funny, the FR-S is the best arm-hanging-out-the-window car I have driven in a long time.

Leno is a car enthusiast. He does comedy to pay the bills, and looking at his car collection, the automotive related bills are quite extensive. I'm curious as to what he thinks about the BRZ/FRS, but it will have no influence on my decision to buy one. His collection is vast and varied. I don't watch Leno's late-night show on TV, but I do watch his car show on the web.

I too will be interested in what he has to say about it. It will also have no bearing on whether I buy one.

He was probably interested in your car. Maybe it reminded him to do a review even. What car was he in?

I truly can not wait to hear, what he has to say about this car. I loved his review on the LFA a while back.

He is a legendary car collector and enthusiast. The comedian bit is pretty much so he can pay for the collection. The RX-8 is still one of his favorite all time cars.

I will watch and enjoy!

Why does everyone call him a comedian? Leno hasn't been funny since the late 80's.

Jay basically said what you knew he would say after driving the McLaren MP4-12C: The Scion is cheap and cheery.

It's an awesome value proposition, but for someone who has a garage like Jay, it's not that exciting. It's like looking at a grainy video of some soft-core porn from the 70's after watching [fill in the blank for your favorite modern day porn] and thinking that it will get you off if only you could get past the bad lighting, the elevator music, and Mr. limpdcik doggystyling Mrs. blond bangs, with those overdubbed uuhhhs and aahhhs.

As for Jack himself, I think he is not the best marketing for the car. He knows the car has a lower CoG than some other car, but I am not sure he really understands what this means in terms oif dynamics and feelings. Listening to him for the first time ever, you would think that he requested this car from Toyota and they made it for him. And let's not talk too much about any other company involved in this project (cough-cough Subaru, cough-cough Aisin, cough-cough...) because, well, he didn't either. He could have said this car was not designed by committee, or that almost everything in that car is new or substantially new. But we heard none of this. I am almost certain that Jack is a swell guy, but he is just not a good communicator.
