All you need is
Header, exhaust, tune. KW v3, front camber plates, rear control arm, and a front sway bar. Wheels/tires. Getting a FRS with TRD parts/shocks, wheels/tires isn't much cheaper. |

The bushing type and beeing able to adjust them are the only benefits because you have to use the factory mounting locations

Welp, I'm REALLY beginning to see why a front bar is good for autocross. I finally got some warm weather and empty cloverleafs at lunch, my car is 95% neutral on throttle (maybe a bit of understeer as you really push it hard, but stable) and a complete drift machine as soon as you lift throttle at all. It'll be quite tail happy in transitions, I bet. Going to do a couple of events before buying a front bar, but yeahhhh, even on a road course it'll be quite a bit more aggressive than stock even with a bar, lol.

If you're looking at V3s for auto-x, you really should check out our RCE Tarmac 2s. Based on KW Clubsport 2 ways, but custom valving and springs. Still built by KW and with a lifetime warranty. A bit more serious than KW V3.

I hadn't really planned on posting a review (much less in the STX thread), but I have found that the RCE hollow swaybars pair PERFECTLY with the B8/Tarmac shock/spring combo. A little on the rough side for the street, but still manageable, but tight as a fiddle on the parking lots. It doesn't have all the adjustability of the T2's, but comes in at a much lower price point.

Hey guys,
** This post has been edited to reflect data gathered from other members so it reflects my best known current LCA listing for STX interested members ** I'm trying to determine exactly which LCAs are stx legal? My list and understanding is as follows: SPC - Legal configuration available. By default, bad bushing material and additional metal. Legal with bushing swap (FR.Sport Part No. 10594) Whiteline (newer model) - Legal Truhart - Stated to have been run at nationals by Scooby South*, so legal? Velox - Stated "legal" configuration available. RacerX - Stated "legal" configuration available. Cusco - Not legal due to spherical bearing. But there are people stating to use these in STX**? RS*R - Legal. Agency Power - Not legal due to spherical bearing. Buddy Club - Status not known. I'm pretty confused. From my reading of the rules, any of them with a bushing is legal as long as the bushing has no more metal in it than stock. That seems like something difficult to really assess? The Whiteline and SPC would both appear to be legal. I have the Whiteline on order and planned to run them at Miller Park; so I'm feeling a bit worried here. In closing I want to be clear I did attempt to read the rules myself, and by my understanding plan to run the Whiteline. *http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...postcount=1377 **http://www.apexjunky.com/featured/ap...stx-brz-build/ Last edited by GeorgeJFrick; 03-10-2016 at 12:02 PM. |

The new whitelines that are rebranded Spc and the spc are STX legal. I can't see why they wouldn't be.

The SPC site mentions that it has a "new xAxis(TM) Sealed Flex Joint". Which looking at a cut away of the bushing it would appear illegal. Whiteline's LCA are legal as they do not contain the same technology for the bushing.

Didn't realize spc changed anything. I don't know the exact wording of the rule book but it has to be the same poly-type bushing no extra metal in the bushing. Whitelines new rlcas deffinately are OK. They are spc rebrands with an eccentric in the poly bushing at the body mount.
I have spoke with velox and the will get you a proper body mount with legal poly bushings and it should be lighter but hard to adjust while on the car. And whitelines is half the price of velox Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk |
