Yeah, I think we can say that counts!

Hey all! just wanted to let everyone know I created a group Ohio FT-86 owners, it should be a bit easier to add photos and arrange any meets or events through a social group as opposed to giant threads in the Great Lakes region!

Group is at:

And yeah, a meet is always good.
Draco-rex has a black BRZ in town, and theres another guy with a white BRZ .

They both come out to Columbus Cars and Coffee(different one than highend one) every Saturday morning at Cup o Joe by AMC lennox on onlentangy.

I plan on driving it up to Mid-Ohio next saturday to watch the Rolex sports car race and then the weekend after there is a Buckeye Miata Club autocross on campus.

It's got about 130 miles on it now, so I guess I have about two weeks to put 1,000 miles on her lol. Though to be honest I'm not all that concerned about it. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't gone past 4,000 RPM's on more than a few occasions already and one of the salesmen at the dealership told me he was doing 100 MPH on the freeway in 3rd gear before I bought it.

The dealership said there was no break in period because it's a Scion but the owners manual says different...
I will be at Mid-Ohio with my 2ZZ MR2 Spyder Hardtop. Just going Saturday with my son for Rolex and Continental races. I will keep a look out for you and say "Hi" if I see you. I normally park in the infield.

I'll be up on Saturday with my Dad, we'll be taking the FR-S. We park in the infield as well, usually as close to the car clubs as we can get without being yelled at lol. We usually sit in the Esses. I'll keep a lookout for you as well!

Love MR2's btw. The 2zz is a fun little engine though I wish my celica's was rear mounted, it'd be a bit more fun I think. rofl

I used to sit on the hill near the Ss but we have now gravitated up towards Turn one where we can see the run up the hill and then the run down the back straight into the Ss. I usually try to park as close as I can to there. Normally right after I come over the bridge I turn to the right but last year it was so crowded for this race we ended up down by the Domino's Pizza place.

By the way, I will be more your Dad's age and you will be more my son's age. See you there, hopefully. If we can get close enough maybe we can get photos of the cars together.

Sounds good. Not sure what time we'll get there but I'll keep a look out for your car and try to park next to ya if there is a spot open!

Close to the Hilliard. Ultramarine blue, which is very close to the 2000 Celica GT-S I had.

Yup, I go through that area frequently. Were you in your FR-S?

That wouldn't happen to be the Mentor Toyota dealership would it?

No, but I am keeping an eye on them--my "reservation" is at Bedford. How much did they charge you to get your spot in line?

I actually plan on getting my FR-S come November so i can take advantage of the College Grad Discount program. I will be graduating in may and November is when I'll be eligible.

I did however test drive my first FR-S at the mentor location. It was a whiteout auto. Last i checked it was still there. Probably not anymore though.

Piece of advice--put your money down for your spot now, unless you want that whiteout. Lead time for me was quoted at at least 90 days, if they don't have the car you want. I'd rather get the car while there were still a few good driving days left rather than in the middle of winter.

On a related note, let me know if you see any Raven MTs in there

i don't believe i would qualify for the program if i did it now. money is more important for me right now than time. i'll have a long time to get my FR-S and enjoy it. If i can save 1000 and potentially get a better payment, why not wait.

I am very anxious though! lol.
