While neither of these are good looking cars to me, there's something strangely appealing about them.

Edit: The flip up headlights are making me rub myself in just the right way... Wait, that's not how the saying goes

They just are not all that photogenic I think.

My 91 TSI AWD looked just like the red one. With a 2 inch drop I loved the looks of the things.

Must be a 90's thing. I still swoon over clean fox body 5 litres when I see them.

Mom and dad are looking at buying a new cottage if they sell the rental place and the current cottage. Prospective new cottage has 3 garages. Dad already said that I could use one for a project if they end up buying it. Torn between some absolutely oddball chassis, an older truck, an NA Miata or a fox body.

Certainly a possibility. The first time I saw one of those, I was so confused/awestruck. The only issue is that those chassis (and the mustang) charge more than a pretty penny now. Pretty much to the point I'm better off buying a Lexus IS300 and dropping a 5 litre, LSwhatever or 2JZ in one

To add to some more off topic, I'm currently growing a mustache, but it pales in comparison to yours @Tcoat. It makes me kind of sad. Doesn't help that it's super blonde

Not gonna get a real RS for cheap but a base Capri can be had for under $2K. You can even pick up a 5l for $5K not far from home. The parts are relatively cheap if you shop around enough. For under $8K you could have a pretty sweet RS clone if you wanted.

Love well done cookies! I sometimes grease the pan just so they'll do this. I also like slightly burnt popcorn, but never microwave.

I personally prefer the Capri. That's what I would own if I was going to own one.

Lots of possibilities. The only problem with a project is that I'll be a homeowner within the next 18 months or so. Once that happens, good bye extra spending. The only thing that might save my "fun money" (read: hooker and blow money) is that my parents may also kick some money my way for a down payment on a house, providing it has a basement apartment that I can live in, and pay rent (ie: the full mortgage payment) and have an upstairs tenant who also pays the rent (ie: a monthly payment that will amount to the loan they gave me for a downpayment).

Sometimes my parents are pretty damn cool.
