Fair enough, was curious is all!

Couldn't get away with that back home, between the shit that gets thrown up on the roads and the very occasional police officer that decides to be a twat and fine you for running out of screenwash...

Depends, if you get pulled over they can check over the vehicle for roadworthiness, usual stuff like tread depth on tyres, lights all functioning etc. If they want to be a total **** about it you can be issued points and an on the spot fine for not having screen wash.

I'm not saying it happens regularly, most of the traffic police over here are alright, just the odd nonce that gets a bit of a power trip, although they are the rarer type.

Installed the Velox Motorsports Hood Vent kit yesterday! (Informative Packet)

I'll let the pics do the talking.

Many thanks to @boredom.is.me for the assistance.

More pics of the finished product as daylight allows. I might be installing the rain guards sooner than I thought because there is rain forecasted for most of this week.

Some more detailed photos. Weather is not cooperating for a proper outdoor shoot; even with the rain guards.

Rain guards installed

Bonnet vents look good chap, interested to see back to back temperature measurements under bonnet for these on your next outing.

Totally unrelated, but how has your brake kit worked out so far? Pad wear/life/longevity on track etc..?

It's 3M double sided mounting tape; the outdoor/automotive kind. We added it for multiple reasons. To help the vents conform to the shape of the hood better without having to over-torque the nuts underneath, avoiding friction/marring the paint surface underneath from vibrations, and so there's a slightly better weather seal around the edges. Not that it matters much since there's huge holes in the hood now, but in addition to the rain guards, the running water from heavy downpours or car washes should be directed around the edges instead of seeping through.
