I was wondering why this forum doesn't have mobile app. It'd be nice to have a mobile app even though I have a very capable iPhone 4s filled with DIYs, local event tabs, forums. All the goodies lol. I'd pay for the app but free is always better lol

If it has any usable features beyond forum browsing, I'd pay for it. Long as iOS is compatible....

i'd gladly pay for the app, even though i don't plan on having the car until next year

on another note, wouldn't it be more feasible to just get a plug-in made for the Torque app (for android) since it already incorporates a ton of features like digital gauge display, gpd/dashcam, bluetooth connectivity (those ELM327 adapters are only $15 on ebay & work great!), scantool diagnostics, etc etc. maybe ask the person who made the app (Ian Hawkins) to help make the app since he seems to be quite skilled in this aspect.

the plug-in could just be sub-app for USB-connection for faster real-time updates & charging (if data-logging via USB is supported), forum browsing, DIY how-to's, part number database (OEM & aftermarket), vehicle specs, maintenance schedule, and everything else that was already mentioned...

it would just suck for apple owners since there's no iOS version of this app.

I like the idea of having a more mobile friendly version of the forum. I've had an android phone for over 2 years now and I've only purchased one app in that time. I'm probably a fairly typical smartphone user. I think the most useful thing that you could do with it would be a quick access to FAQs, how-to's, and maintenance. The social aspect is interesting as well, but I honestly wouldn't really use it. If the information in the app is accessible on the website, I won't pay for that, I'll just use the browser.

I'm in. Make sure its EASILY accessible. If I can jump around and find threads and with ease, comment with ease and have it be fast, I will be completely satisfied.

this forum is powered by vbulletin right? why does the owner just activate and use tapatalk?

i use the tapatalk app with my other forums

The other functions would be great! Tapatalk is just forum browsing, WoW is talking about an app with some really great functions that would be unique to our community, and would be greatly accepted. I would buy it

wow old thread, i had since stopped trying to make an app when people were more willing to just use tapatalk. I got the sense that people just wanted to browse the forum without any unnecessary features. So i lost against people not giving enough interest.

If more people were interested in a full blown app, i can start up the project again.

It sure would be nice to have one on my windows phone.

i'd still prefer a solo app outside of Tapatalk. Doesn't have to include any fancy features, just a FT86club specific forum app like NASIOC has.
