Might you be installing the BRZ limited HVAC system anytime soon? I believe it's plug and play but nobody had done it yet...

Great writeup!

But dammit, Scion...why not just give us the damn red LEDs in the first place to keep things consistent?? same with the HVAC knobs.

No. From past cars, it's been too expensive. The panel is the easy part. The hard part is usually the blower module, which has motors for adjusting temp as well as vent position. I would love it...just don't want to spend that kind of coin!

Thanks! Yeah, I struggled with the color choice, too. If anyone asks if Toyota had a hand in the car, show them the clock and HVAC color!!!

Yeah, I can try. Honestly, the red is cool, but it's hard to see the "blue" on the temp dial. I'm going to order some white LEDs in and see how that looks down there. Might not be until next week, though. I need to put together the rest of my order for other toys for the car

Thanks, yea you could do white and use red and blue filters( see through red and blue stickers) that way you get the red where you want it and blue where you want

Did that on my Tc(pic related )

That looks nice! Although I was just thinking of all white to match the dash gauges. We'll see. I'm going to order a bunch of LEDs and just see what happens.

Sorry for the delay, but I updated the original post with some night shots. Well, more before night. "Night" around my apartment consists of 4 orange street lights that make it day-time!

They could have gone the Mustang route and had interchangable interior lighting, and saved many people the hassle lol

wow, that was pretty extensive! Great work. I'm really thinking of trying to retrofit the climate controls. Any idea on parts diagrams that may be needed for such a retrofit?

Do you have and idea of what size bulb it might be?
Fairly certain these will work.
http://www.oznium.com/corvette-c5-led

They worked at replacing the same ones in my 09 Corolla

"Reviewer: Reece Russell (Salemburg, NC)
Item: 74 Neo-wedge Corvette C5 LED Bulb
Ordered a pair of Red bulbs to replace the yellow bulbs in my 2005 Scion xB's HAVC. One came in bad, was replaced within a few days. Oznium has the best price for these and the best customer service. I saw them online earlier today for 16 bucks for the 2 lights. This really was a no brainer decision."
