Opinion - 86 to FR-S

Just a question, might be a bit silly but im gonna ask anyway.

Im thinkin when i get my 86 i would change the Toyota badges to Scion and add the FR-S on the boot.

My idea is to make my car a little more "unique" per say. Just to see a Scion badged 86 around gives it a lil extra touch which you won't see locally.

Thoughts? Be gentle. haha.

Unique? Regardless of what badge you put on it it's still a Toyota.
My 3.8 cents.

Scion. !?!?!?! When people ask you what's scion and frs, Try explaining to them that its toyota's budget brand in the u.s market. I would rather put the subie badges than scion.

lol most (if not all) Scion buyers would take the toyota badge any day. i guess it would be like when you see a commodore with a chevy badge - you think bogan! if i saw a scion badge i would just think idiot.

sorry if that was harsh but no easier way to put it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was just getting people's opinion and so far, no one really likes the idea of it.

That is an option if i end up doing it but i'd probs keep them anyway in case there were too many haters i'd switch it back to get them off my back.

I'm not trying to hide the fact that it is indeed a Toyota, i just wanted something a "little" different. I figured with the amount of interest this car has there would be a heap of 86/BRZ's driving around not too long from now. Just thought it'd be a nice change to see an "FR-S" around.

Regardless i believe it's still the same car? I wouldnt put a Subie badge on an 86 because that wouldnt be the point of it as i mentioned just above.

As above, and what's wrong with orange? Anyone else have an issue with me being a lil different and having a coloured font?

I get what ur saying but isnt that a contradiction to what u just said? It's a Scion with Toyota badges? Would you say they're bogan for doing so?

Im not the biggest fan of Holden's but i do agree that the Chev badge does look better.

It's all good. That's ur personal opinion and that's what im after. Its all good.

Whom exactly are you rebelling against? The issue with orange text is that it's hard to read on white backgrounds

I'm having to select your text to read it.

Not rebelling against anyone actually.

This is the first time i've had anyone say anythn about the orange font on the multiple forums i've joined and doing the same thing.

I'll stick to black then if that is what everyone else prefers.

Why can't you just leave it as default font?!

People are a little rougher in this forum it seems...

"god awful colour".
silly images.
thoughts of me rebelling.

I can understand that it might be hard to read for some, seems fine to me, but i cant even use bold black font? really?

*sigh*

It's called social behavioural standards. It's the same reason you don't walk up to a random person on the street and scream hello directly into their ear or poke them in the eye to get their attention.

But yeah, go for it if rebadging floats your boat. Would be the real deal if you did a full conversion (downgrade exhaust/tips, seats, interior stitching etc).

Lol don't forget the guages switched to mph. You might end up with the only stock RHD frs

And just on the orange text, it may or may not have been bothering me but I wasn't going to say anything. I think this said it all:

not sure how a badge is gonna make a car unique though because at the end of the day its still is what it is no matter what badges you have on it
