Clutchmasters; new release and tech data

Some new apps from Clutchmasters. I have sold a lot of these over the years to Evo, BMW and Subaru guys with a lot of sucesss and very few failures. looking forward to "needing" a clutch when we start doing some HP mods!

I have used a lot of FX300 in BMWs, and i think thats going to be a best seller here, the only disadvantage of the Kevlar clutches are that they *need* very careful break-in for 500 miles or they fail within the first few thousand, treat it well and thats my favorite.

FX400 6-pucks are somewhat streetable, but don't really "slip" per say. They are nice for weekend track & drift cars that see serious abuse but must drive to-and-from the track.

FX100 in some applications have lighter pedal feel than stock. Good for people that want a really-really easy to drive car.

Just released:
"Clutch Masters is pleased to introduce their performance clutch/flywheel kits for the
exciting new Scion FR-S. This is a complete change over kit featuring a solid steel
flywheel, heavy duty pressure plate, and multiple friction disc configurations to
satisfy any performance level! The FX series is designed to handle high torque
outputs with minimal compromise to drivability. By re-engineering the leverage or
fulcrum point on their pressure plates, Clutch Masters has increased clamping
power while maintaining a stock pedal feel"

Some specs they quote, abet with "*Torque ratings are an estimated maximum calculation". Thats fine, everyone should know if you abuse a clutch its going to die faster.

If the HTML code doesn't work, the link is here: Clutchmasters FRS/ BRZ PDF document

The ones most people would likely need:

FX100 || Max Torque: 225 || List Price $995.00 || PN15738-HD0F-SK || Type: heavy-duty Steel Back Organic*

FX300 || Max Torque: 325 || List Price $1150.00 || 15738-HDFF-SK || Type: Segmented Kevlar*

FX400 || Max Torque: 500 || List Price $1150.00 || 15738-HDC6-SK || Type: Sprung Ceramic disc (6 puck)*

Ive been running an FX300 for about 58k miles in my 3.6l CL and absolutely love it. But as the OP said, you have to be very careful with the break in. Luckily, I was breaking in a motor at the same time so I was extra easy on it.

I dont want the stock pedal feel, thats the damn problem in this car! And a full steel flywheel? I'll likely pass on this one for now.

Bonus: Im too much of a retard to be able to properly break in a kevlar disc anyways.

without forced induction you wont find any FR-S/BRZ approaching even the lowest tq numbers on there.

I'd be shocked if someone spent $1000 for a clutch in a 200hp car.

Retail will most certainly be less.

Two people will want this:
Modded / Forced induction guys...
But also those who drift, even the AE86 guys with 115HP still like a performance clutch to "bite" harder, and more consistently over a hard weekend.

Eikond: did you hear Nissan may bring back the 240z depending on how well this car sells?

We're lovin' our Clutch Masters unit. This is our 2nd one on the FR-S. We actually helped Clutch Masters develop their product for this car.
