L/R distribution gets thrown out the window. The only street car I have read about that takes this into account is a recent version of the Nissan GT-R. If the 86 had a distribution of 52:48 or 50:50 or 51.37/48.63 I am saying the sales blub would still call it a feature.

According to your link "For this reason, a car with "50/50" weight distribution will understeer on initial corner entry. To avoid this problem, sports and racing cars often have a more rearward weight distribution." so 53/47 would increase understeer but we have already read that this car exhibits very little understeer.

Your point is taken that weight distribution has an effect.
Np dude. Things get taken the wrong way in writing on the net.

Under steer, yes from what I was reading, but maybe cause of """"Due to the low and so far back boxer engine, 53/47 must have been optimal for it's handling. """"

Another article I found.
http://automotivethinker.com/chassis...s-not-optimal/

All in all. Depends on how the car is Set up. Engine, drivetrain, weight dist , weight, suspension ,etc

""""If the 86 had a distribution of 52:48 or 50:50 or 51.37/48.63 I am saying the sales blub would still call it a feature.""""
Yeah I agree and they prob should advert it, as that's a good thing.

My mates 2002 wrx was 59/41. Not sure what they are at today. Wonder how different the wrx would have been if it was closer to 50/50 ?
