My Whiteout FR-S XXXX1986.

Hi guys, suposed to have it next week but I'll start my thread now.

UPDATE 10/26/2012: Yeah, got in #featurethis on Speedhunters!

http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/10/featurethis-5/

UPDATE 10/12/2012: Finale look for this year! More pictures at page 2!

Engine: Takeda air intake system - Nameless Overpipe/High flow cat/Axle back combo
Suspension: BC BR Coilovers - Cusco strutbar
Goodies: TRD radiator/oil cap - TRD Duracon shift knob - Perrin shorty antenna 4" - BRZ trunk panel mat

So... Got unlocky again 1 month ago a hailstrom hitted my car badly. 6000$ of body work... You can't see it in the pictures because they are only small dent but they are visible... almost 500 dirty little dent caused by mother nature. Will be repaired in November.

Still love my setup, the Nameless exhaust sound sooooo nice after a cupple of KM's on it. Still love my BC's too ! My 2 lamps were replaced due to water intrusion, I hope now everything will be fine. I've got the P0019 on a hard lapping session, but I've cleared it and it never apaired again ! Maybe a metal chunk in the VVT phaser. Hope everything will be allright now...

UPDATE 8/16/2012: Namless exhaust installed, BC Coilovers, Cusco strutbar

UPDATE 07/22/2012: Lowered on BC coilovers!

UPDATE 06/08/2012: Ah crap, the windshield must be replace their is a defect in it, it appear to be dirty between the layer. Next week it will be replaced. Other news, for assurance got no choise to Sheerlock it... Better news, my Cusco strut bar is arrived, I'll post pictures of it installed! Most importantly, I've found crazy wheels for a crazy price... Black Racing N1 Bronze 5X100 17X8 +38 brand new for... 624$ SHIPPED. What a deal. Thanks 1010tires! Will look crazy with those!

UPDATE 06/08/2012: Cusco strut bar installed

2013 Scion FR-S Whiteout M/T.

So, it's kind of funny for the VIN, cause my first cars were 2 AE86 from 1986 and the VIN of my FR-S ends by XXXX1986.

I'll bring this baby to the track and street it every day of the summer.

I've already have my wheels setup, my C-ONE (made by Wedsports) SA-90 16X7 +33 wrapped on 205/50/R16 Dunlop Dirrezza D1 Star Spec. If you don't know C-ONE, it's a sadly closed compagny in Japan that made performance parts only for Toyota's, like the Spoon of Toyota. These wheels where made to fit newer Toyota with 5X100 bolts paterns. Maybe I'll go with wider tires when these one will be done, they were on my ex-Corolla XRS. Same wide as cheap Toyota 86 in Japan so should be ok.

So first thing I do when I'm coming back from my dealer is install my wheels :P

I've begin to order some parts:

- Cusco strut bar with master cylinder stopper
- BC Coilovers

For future: Exhaust, Intake, ECU Flash when everything will be released.

Got the oportunity to drive one at my local track 2 weeks ago and to drive it on the street too. Was damn cool !

Well I've tired my C-ONE and... it look like shit.

Pretty disaponted but well... I'll keep these for the track. I've reinstall the OEM wheels for now but I'll change wheels and keep the OEM tires for the street.

But, for the offset it's perfect! +33 is really the way to go on 7" inch wheels. A 5mm spacer in the back could help a little bit.

And check my license plate :P

I don't think they look bad. Does that tire/wheel package weigh less and grip better? Then it's a win. You could always have them re-painted if you dislike the color.

Yeah they really grip well and the wheels are lights. But I really don't like the look. When it will be lowered it will be perfect for track days. I'll search for wheels for the street.

the FR-S really needs some nice big wheels to compliment the quarter panel and aggressive fenders

They look lighter than that. Hard to beat the Enkei RPF1's on weight and cost. I have had two rounds of RPF1 on earlier cars and am after a something different, but I would like to stay below 16 lbs.

Well, not THAT bad. They were darm cheap and these are high quality wheels from Japan. Plus the offset will fit great. I've pay them the price of a used set for a brand new one.

They will be my street wheels and I'll put the OEM Michelin on it.

Flat bronze + Whiteout =

The C-One will be on for track days !

Ah and a little update: my Cusco strut bar is installed

The wheels do look good, but they are heavy.

20 pounds is going to hurt quite a bit on a low torque car like this...it will in essence negate any gains you would get from an intake/exhaust, if not more...

Man, I wish C-one didnt go bankrupt. This would have been real good for them. I had the full C-one kit for my celica gts. Extremely rare here in the states and the parts were so just as good as oem parts in quality. Nice car btw.
