Interestingly Charles Maund just called me about the car too and I'm not even on their waiting list - just sent an email a few months ago and then switched to Champion - sounds like people might not be biting on their mark-ups

They don't, closest thing would have been Lightning Red, but I doubt that would get confused for Hot Lava, must have been an FR-S.

Hey All - I was considering signing up for a race driving class and came across Driveway Austin: Official Page & Yelp . I was wondering if any others would be interested in taking a course and I could reach out to them about possibly getting us a good rate if we sign up together. It would be pretty cool to have a group of FR-S/BRZs out there, plus we could all bone up on our driving skills.

Their L1 course runs $395 (with your own car) and is a full day 9am-3:30pm including lunch. You can also do the course with a spec Miata (not a bad analog) for $185 per session. It's a little pricey, but I'm sure it would be a blast and improve driving ability.

Anyone else interested?

Just reached out to see if we could get a group discount. I'm hoping that they'll work with us since it would be a group and potentially be a cool PR/photo-op for them as well. Heck, around 5 or 6 of the first FR-S and BRZs off the production line, and we're all taking their course. Pretty good deal

Here's a good summary video from them:

Wow - that was quick. The owner of the course and track (former American LeMans Driver for Ferrari as well) just sent me a reply:

"Hi Daniel
I'm a big fan of the frs and would love to have your group in the road racing course. How many are in your group? Will try to work something out for you.
Thanks
Bill Dollahite"

Told him hopefully around 5 - anyone else interested?

My Honda is a great car that I was very excited about driving home. The dealer helped me get anything I wanted in a brand new car in Austin. I was anxious about the whole situation because you never know if a car seller is being honest or not, but car dealerships are generally much more reputable than private sellers. I was very happy with the service I got. You can locate a reliable dealer near you at Honda Austin.

If we can get the price around $300 and depending on what weekend I'd definitely be interested.

Cool, seems like $300 is what we'll shoot for. I'm still working on getting the details.

When i had not gotten the specs from friday about the car that was supposed to arrive on the 14th i called the dealer. This happend an hour or so ago and they said the car is already in the lot. Guess i will be going down to check it out later today . Will keep y'all posted shortly.

If anybody else wants to see the FRS, it should be at the dealers. Please call and confirm though.
