Just based on the picture it seems it is driving on the *left* for RHD car. The yellow cab is actually on the left side of the road. Furthermore, just based on the road marking, it seems that this is actually in Japan.

If this was in Hong Kong I would expect more people walking.

No problem. I that that curve of highway reminds me of some scenes in Wangan midnight on the C1 route.

You guys got me excited for a moment... but the FR-S doesn't come with this head unit, so no customizing for us. The OP should probably edit the first post to remove FR-S references.

Someone test it out if you could use a .gif. Maybe a small animation would look cool on startup.

This question was asked before but I think it was missed... Can the startup screen be reset back to the default screen? If so, how?

Thanks

I think Dave suggested a solution. I can try it later.

Couple questions:

What is the spec of the image? DPI (example: 100 dpi), physical pixel size (example: 1280x720)?

Is it possible to revert back to OE startup screen?

I think they were saying earlier that it was 1920x1080, although the screen most definitely doesn't have that resolution, so maybe that's overkill...

Not sure if anyone else confirmed this yet, but yes, go to Info (second page of audio sources), settings, change start up screen to initialize. Now it'll be back to the standard one. Change back to Custom to switch back to your customized one.

Cool, can you do this with the USB or do you have to take the map SD card out?

To load a new background? You have to use the SD card method described in this thread (although you should eject the SD card correctly first, I don't think if that was in the walkthrough or not).

To switch back and forth between your custom one and the standard one you just have to change the setting in the menu described in my post above.
