Yeah, I'm sure there are a few out there. But you're also at the top of that 18-25 age block.

Good for you.

My point was simply to highlight the fact that the average age of people who will actually own a FRS/BRZ are much older then people think. Last I checked most people 18-25yrs don't have alot of money to throw around.

Yes, the FRS and BRZ do have alot of young fans, but very few serious buyers in that age group.

in the so cal scene ive seen A LOT of these type of cars especially 350z/g35/sti/evo bought by parents which is fine... then when mods come into play its up to the person who drives the car to fork over the cash... ive been selling parts for a few years now and know what sells... and what should sell.

I would love to release a dry carbon line of parts, maybe with a group buy and enough interest i can make this happen?

however both the manufacturers and I need to see a return on investment and with dry carbon its too much of a risk this early on.

if you guys would like dry carbon like you have been mentioning I will create a thread and talk it over with a few companies and see what I can make happen.

keep in mind though with a mold being developed and the production costs there does need to be a profit in order to recover costs so it wont be "homie hookup" priced.

I think your over-generalizing and ignorance will one day be your down fall.

and as far as age group goes... im 22, but the car is titled, financed and insured in my name and work a full time corporate job as well as this "consulting" and marketing for different brands.

its the perfect car for someone in their 20s... it turns heads, not too bad to insure, gets around 30mpg and handles like a beast.

The age demographic will eventually fall back down to 18-25 as soon as used FRS/BRZ get on the market. Leasing an FRS shouldnt be too expensive for these youngsters. We can stop acting like it's an unobtainable Exotic. Let's face it, this platform is the new Civic, we just have to deal with it.

and THIS is one of the reasons this car will be obnoxiously memorable for years to come. Hell, I would even take a RWD Civic

Come to think of it, maybe this will be the name for this car among enthusiasts "The RWD Civic". And to me, that's not a bad thing at all.

How so?

Last I checked most 18yr olds don't have 26k to dish out on a car, let alone carbon parts. Or maybe I'm just poor.

It's just that out here in certain parts of Socal it is not uncommon to see high school kids getting brand new BMW's, Mustang convertibles, and new trucks after graduation...so 25-30K is in that range

im 32 and a shop owner for 11 years, even though im not into the whole carbon/flat black look going around. Its very strong in all age groups in so cal. so if you can sell your stuff for sub VIS pricing, you should be able to move some product.

just my opinion....

I think you and I might be the youngest, well except on one thread I saw a 15 year old claiming how he was going to get one for his 16th birthday . . . Yeesh. I support younger drivers having this car, just hope a kid that young knows/appreciates this car's heritage and awesome craftsmanship.

I financed 25k and thats not even half of what I make in a year. Maybe Im not your typical 18-25 youngster, though. I'm kind of a douchebag college dropout and I love proving people wrong. :3

^^ Im a Network Engineer, its a fairly lucrative career choice. The hours suck and being on call 24/7 sucks a bit though.

God I wished I lived out West . Most of Florida sucks, and I got sick of Miami. Most places here pay crap, and unemployment is through the roof for most jobs. Right know I'm going to school for RN full time and have a Full time job earning $9.50 and hour. . And I really don't want to talk about what I have to do to earn that $9.50.

I looked up Network Engineer. Pretty good line of work, except for the hours. And most places don;t require certification.
