Installed my ultra quiet front pipe today. I'm happy with the subtle change in tone from stock. Does jdl not include a sticker or anything with their products? I have a spot on my tool box for a jdl sticker!

Planning on getting the following setup:
ARK DTS
ARK Down/Test Pipe
JDL Catted UnEqual Length Header
JDL Catted & Resonated Overpipe Frontpipe Combo

Thoughts? Looking for the Subi rumble and fairly loud exhaust note. I am planning for a catted UEL as I read you can get some funky smells uncatted. Also are the best deals the sale prices listed on JDL's site?

This is the best clip I could find similar to what I'm looking to gain:

You'll have too many frontpipes.

Just FYI, these two parts are redundant. Not sure if you knew.

Edit: also, for your goals and concerns, I would get a catless UEL header and leave one cat in the FP (like that JDL pipe you're looking at). As long as there's one cat in the system, you won't have a smelly car. Most of the power gains come from removing the cat in the header, so a catted UEL is really only for those who are paranoid about passing inspection or who don't want to get a tune.

edit again: here's a vid of my setup. It's loud compared to stock, but not all that loud in the grand scheme of things (and probably quieter than the vid you posted). This is a JDL catless UEL, JDL 2.5" OP, JDL 2.5" catted/resonated FP, and a perrin 2.5" resonated catback, running E85.

Headphones preferred.

As I'm a noob to exhausts, I see I would be ordering the same part twice. So Down/Test Pipe is the same as Front Pipe?
So basically I would want to get the same parts as the owner in the video I posted was using:

JDL Auto Design UEL Header - catless
JDL Auto Design Over Pipe - catted
ARK Performance Test Pipe
ARK Performance DT-S Catback

Hopefully I've got this right now, thanks.

Yep, that's right. Note that "test pipe" means it'll be catless. Looks like the vid you posted used a catless header, too. If you're set on using a catless FP/test pipe and want to avoid a smelly car, then maybe a catted header is your best bet. Otherwise, I'd suggest a catless header with a catted FP.

But it's your car, so whatever makes you happy

I am looking to get the JDL UEL catless header with the Perrin 2.5" CBE but I am torn on what OP/FP combo to get between the following items on a N/A setup:
  • Invidia OP/Invida Resonated FP
  • Invidia OP/JDL Catted FP
  • JDL OP/FP Combo
  • Nameless OP/FP Catted w/ or w/o Helmholtz Resonator

I vote JDL OP and JDL catted/resonated front pipe (AKA ultra quiet FP). Catted and resonated FP's sound best IMO. We have quite a few instock too so i can work some deals!

Please let me know more regarding discounts and deals. Just finalizing decisions on ordering the following:

JDL UEL catless headers w/chrome thermal coating
JDL OP and JDL catted/resonated front pipe (AKA ultra quiet FP) combo

Is there really more HP gains with catless headers? Just wanted to avoid any awful smells I read about. Was informed above that with catted front pipe will not have this issue.

Could not find a coupon code online @ checkout. Thanks.

I have quite a bit of smell with catless headers and the ultra quiet front pipe, FWIW.
