Wiper Blades

Hi,

So my car recently went for its 60000 km service and I was advised that my wiper blades needed replacing, they quoted me R900 for the 2, I was wondering if the blades are the same as any other Toyota and if I can get them somewhere else? I phoned Subaru and was quoted R500 there.

What crazy prices. Phew!!

I haven't replaced wiper blades for my 86 yet, but for my other cars I haven't bought blades from a dealer like forever.
I get Durablades from Game, and trim them to fit.
Costs about R80-R90 and they work great for me.

YMMV...

The price was only for the inserts, not for the whole wiper.

Thanks Fish Eagle, will have a look at them and then just trim them as well.

I havent tried Durablades but I have tried those normal ones u get from the spares shops (not on the 86 though)

I've realised that its better to just buy the OEM ones. No hassles fitting, dont make noise and they wipe clean + last for ages

I paid something like R300 for a set for the Fortuner from Toyo

Bought mine from Subaru early this year as I had spare credit on my old company petrol card. Saving them for a (really) rainy day when they are needed. Originals holding up well.
