Nope, mine was a manual. They were going to check fitment of intakes and exhausts, and keep it for a week. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town abruptly.

Can you ask them about making the AEM F/IC (piggyback controller) compatible with the FRS and BRZ?

My name is Kris Gagnon. I’m the owner and founder of South Side Performance. We specialize in the manufacturing, repair, and service of Dual Clutch Transmissions. We have two locations in the US to meet the needs of our customers and vendors worldwide. Our manufacturing and main distribution facility is located in Minnesota, and we also have a full service, parts, installation, tuning, and fabrication facility centrally located in the great state of Texas. As one of the largest aftermarket companies specializing in Dual Clutch Transmissions for Nissan, Mitsubishi, VW, Audi, and BMW in the world, we aim to offer the highest level of performance and customer service in the industry today.

South Side Performance is owned and operated by true motorsports enthusiasts. Our staff of 7 full time employees are highly trained and experienced in all facets of automotive service, and race car preparation. From our in-house fabrication specialists, highly qualified sales associates, and certified tuners, we truly love what we do for a living, and are happy to serve our customers each and every day.

Our customer service and tuning ability are well documented, and highly regarded throughout the industry. We are extremely active on several car forums, and are more than happy to share our knowledge and experience with just about anyone. We feel that helping the community is our way of giving back to the customers and vendors that have supported us for so long.
We have a long history of racing and product development experience, and much of what we learn on the track is directly transferred over to future parts development and eventually to our customer’s street cars. This is what sets South Side Performance apart from our competition that merely sells and installs parts.

Specializing in Dual Clutch Transmissions allows us to concentrate on a select line of vehicles, and a select line of parts. Producing high quality transmission parts each day is no easy task I assure you, but over the years, South Side Performance has essentially assembled a “Dream-Team” of employees and support staff to make this happen each and every day. We at South Side Performance strive to offer our customers the highest level of customer service and support available in the industry today.

We are looking for the use of a FRS or BRZ to develop aftermarket parts for. All of the aftermarket parts developed would be yours free of charge, along with all the labor to install these parts. Your vehicle would be fully insured during its stay at our facility.

We are centrally located in Houston, Texas.

Please email or phone me directly if you are interested.

Either or, the parts we're looking to manufacture would be designed to work on either model.

As stated in the post above, we are centrally located in Houston, Texas. We do also have a fully enclosed 28ft race trailer for interested parties not within driving distance.

I still haven't heard anything back from any of the companies I contacted. I figure they don't need any more. Think it was Tanabe, K&N, and Eibach. Might have a couple more but I forget who now.

Did you email them or call them? I always get to talk to someone if I call during business hours.

K&N just released their air filter and they are unsure about doing an intake for now, so you can scratch them off the list. I have heard that Tanabe has a project car now, but they usually need more than one for test-fitting.

*Eibach was helped by Pekingduck (1st FRS), but I have no idea if they need more people or not. Usually, they need a few people to test fit as well.

Bump for Works (awesome Evo racers/tuners who want a crack at the FRS/BRZ) in Sonoma, CA.

K&N and Clutchmasters have also released products for us now!

Greddy just informed me that they will have an exhaust available at the end of July...the turbo kit is still quite
a ways off...maybe early next year

***PS: I always update the R&D list on the FIRST page of this thread

PTUNING: 2013 Scion FR-S R&D Car

Earlier this week we took possession of a brand new 2013 Scion FR-S (White) w/ manual transmission from a good customer of ours for research and development.

The build will include but not limited to:

*Intake
*Engine supporting components
*Turbo Kit
*Full 3" Exhaust
*Suspension
*Wheels & Tires

Before starting the build, we thought we make some baseline pulls.
Below are the result & some added pics of the FR-S on the dyno:

Bone Stock 2013 Scion FR-S w/ Manual Transmission = 162 WHP @ 143TQ
(The temperature in the dyno was 82 degree F)

This car is soon to be transformed into a PTFR-S

Pics....
