Progressive quoted me (on a Limited) something around $800 per six months. I'm 27 with no tickets but one at-fault accident in 2010. This was sort of a guesstimate, as the VIN wasn't working in their system yet.

I am quoted $960 for 6 months with Geico. Sounds too much to me but I need the insurance to take delivery so I will call to complain later. But from the way it sounded on the phone the car wasn't in their system and they had no info on it. She was asking me if it was close to the impreza, forrester, etc. Didn't ask me any of the performance aspects aside from how many doors it had.

Hoping it will go down as that is $250 more per 6 months than I was paying on a Honda Accord

I just got quoted $349 / 6 months or $58 / month with State Farm.
This will make the 4th car covered, so multi car discount, 46 yrs old, no accidents, and no tickets in the past 7 years.

No they don't and I (at least for now) cashed in on that.

22 year old with a clean record, $1396/year!

Good idea

Called in, did a spinoff policy (was previously on my parents policy, starting a new insurance policy with the rates I would have gotten had I still been on theirs) -- $530 / 6 months. 24 years old w/ spotless driving record.

$1228.10 every 6 months through Geico. For being 22 living NY with no record, that's not bad. Liberty Mutual wanted around $6000 for a year.

I'll be doing defensive driver online to lower that some more.

I envy you guys that live in other states.

$876.00 for six months through Progressive. 25, no tickets, one not-at-fault accident ~3 years ago. Note that my brother (22, clean record) is on the policy as well, so it would be a bit lower for myself alone.

Just called Geico with my VIN, still wasn't in their system. They quoted me at around $1,350 for 12 months.

Does anyone know if our policy could go down (hopefully not up), once our cars become available in their system, or are we locked in to our quote?

I am 24 with a previous sr22 no wrecks and no violations in the past 3 years. I got quoted full coverage (on fr-s) at $445 for 6 mnths wit state farm. Got a second quote from progressive full coverage at $664 for 6 mnths. Keep in mind that these arn't 100% because the VIN wasn't present.

I have a funny feeling these rates are going to go up after enough people crash backwards into trees and light poles...

Well, the FRS oversteers more, so hopefully the BRZ rates will be less since it's tuned to understeer a bit.

How old are you? FR-S was 340/60 mo with USAA with a Kia soul on the policy as well.

$750 every six months. I'm 25 living in St. Petersburg FL with 2 speeding tickets and 1 accident (not my fault). Called about a WRX STI and it shot up to about $1000 per six months.

Your rate would be locked in throughout the duration of your insurance policy term. So if they have a set rate in their system by the time your policy expires/renews, the new rate would apply at that point, not midterm.

Just fyi for anyone wanting to autocross or track... don't use Geico. They will google for you and then use that information to drop you or deny you coverage.

OR don't post your information online about stuff that you do that is clearly not insured by a common auto policy. I'm sure that over the past four years (as that Nasioc post was from 2008), other companies have also started to catch on, though admittedly I've read more than a few threads about Geico getting stricter in these situations.

It's no different than people posting their mods all over the internet and wondering why the manufacturer might deny a warranty claim. It sucks, but you have to pay to play.
