Gotta make those quick bucks! Play on the hype and cash in early! This is like those d-bags in Diablo 3 charging a ton of money for level 10 yellow items. It'd only be better if they were charged for these ads, but sadly, they are not.
The guy on the SF Bay area is at least being honest and saying he's marking up the price by 3k. The out the door price + his markup makes sense. 35k sounds like it's the right total. There's also this one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/ctd/3039894316.html But that's a dealer. Not sure if the car is still up for grabs or not, if I didn't have a car already lined up I'd be on that like whoa. Then this one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ctd/3034783981.html WHATS UP MARKUP! |

I'm more curious to know... how the hell anyone will have 35k cash upfront with these guys (unless you're one of the rich chinese guys up there who'll most likely buy a GTR, lambo, ferrari or R8).
And... I'm also curious what they'll do if the owners financed the car and sold it. Does the loan go to the other person?

In the end they are still obligated to pay off the loan since it's in their name, unless they sign a contract stating that the loan is then turned over to the new owner, working with the bank to transfer the responsible party. Which is a hassle since they might not meat the same credit check, etc. |

Nah, people out here just have WAY too much money from being stock market riders. Many buy up shares and sell to make quick tidy profits. A LOT of people out here made some serious cash on Apple recently. The stock went from 300ish to 600ish in 6 months. If you had 200 shares you've got the 60k to buy 2 cars. I still have some Apple shares that I got for 40 bucks. I'm sitting on them until I have an "oh shit I need cash" moment or an "Oh shit College for my son costs way more than I planned" moment. :P

South Coast Subaru reposted it. Read my RE: 2013 SUBARU BRZ above it for the back story. Also Rick, the GSM at South Coast Subaru, told SoA that he would contact the person who ordered it, but did not. Finally had the owner of the dealership, Matt, call and said they will not honor their previous agreement Completely disappointed in the dealership and Subaru's enforcement of Subaru's Corporate Social Responsibilty policy. Makes me want to get a different car Last edited by hapa_kcm; 05-31-2012 at 01:31 PM. |

Wait so this listing was pre-ordered by someone else and SC Subaru has not contacted that person and instead posted it on craigs list? |

It was a preorder agreed to be sold at MSRP to the original person who ordered it. Posted on cl and another forum for sale the day before notifying the person who ordered it that it was ready. Then went to pick it up, threw in a $5,000 markup. Contacted SoA in which they pretty much said you are SOL.

I know what you mean. This was to my friend. I have a preorder through another dealership, but I feel like I cannot support SoA or even Fuji Heavy (meaning frs too). Need some time to think about it

Eddie wrote up a response to the response of why not to buy it from there. Complete sleaze ball saying that he did not know and that SC Subarua would always want to treat their customers great. Unfortunately it is no longer up. Their original ad is back up still though
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ctd/3046818992.html oops, now it just got removed by flagging. Thanks for the support and will post up the link when it is back up |

I don't really see what's wrong in selling what is yours. They can sell it for 1 million if that's what they want. There's nothing illegal that I see here. They are simply playing the game; they buy it and they sell it. One of you might have done this when XBOX360 and PS3 came out. You camped outside bestbuy, bought the item and sold on ebay for double the price. No, they did not flagged your ebay posting when you did this.
Grow up, flagging something on CL coz you think its expensive is just childish. Looks like people are just jealous. I expected more maturity in this community. |

This is like if Best Buy tried to sell PS3's and Xbox 360's to those people waiting in line for a huge mark up, not the other way around. |

I thought, the seller is one of us who was in pre-order list and decided to sell and make money instead. |
