Anything good this season that I can add to my "to-watch" list?
I'm finishing up Non Non Biyori s1 and waiting until s2 finishes to binge watch. |

Is season 2 of Sword Art Online worth watching? Just finished season 1 and read the synopsis of s2... was not impressed...

Yes?.....Maybe?...... I dunno, I watched it and it had some questionable storylines throughout but it kept me entertained. Definitely not as good as the 1st season though.

I think they have sentimental value to me at this point but I have no idea what the hell either's story lines were. All I remember was that Epyon and Tall Geese were the shit, and Burning Finger.

IF ONLY HE WOULD USE GUNS DAMMIT. It's all good though, would just go watch Cowboy Bebop or Trigun if I needed some gunslangin' action.

Speaking of SAO, still have to finish the few episodes of season 2 (Asuna's arc). Too damn lazy and lost interest.

I think what went wrong with SAO was the entire structure of the show changed. It went from season 1 where they did individual story arcs each episode that were incredibly heart-wrenching or interesting or fun. Then season 2 they dropped that entirely and made it a single season story arc with a ton of filler. It was no longer an interesting setting with interesting stories. It was a minorly interesting setting with a story that would have been interesting for 2 episodes. I started to realize what had turned the show bad after a few of the in between episodes they did where they went on quests as a group and magically, the show was good again for that episode or two! |
