Can't hurt to ask.
Just bustin' your chops man. Ask away, but you should be researching on top of just posting them in this thread. If you can't figure something out we are all here to help. Just an example you asked yomny this:

Quote:
What did you mean by what JDL has? Do they have an intake pipe or something?
The second picture in this thread shows his original setup with the intake setup that comes from JDL (which includes the piping, as shown). Previous to asking that question you asked how his intake filter is holding up and in the very first line in his reply to you he mentions the intake pipe that comes with the kit:

Quote:
I replaced mine, not sure if I documented here. JDL's original design is good as it has a nipple on the intake pipe for the oem crankcase vent or anything else you may need it for(or the cold air version, but requires deleting the washer fluid). I didn't need it and the filter was getting torn by the ABS unit and something else im not quite sure what. I'll dig up the info on the new K&N filter im using.. its on the first pics I posted.. the filter bolts up to the turbo inlet directly.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I can tell you are excited about this kit (as are all of us), just don't be so quick to jump the gun. I get like this sometimes too but slow it down and read and you won't have to ask 500 questions

On another note, I just got a shipment notification that my compressor housing and exhaust parts have been delivered @JDLAutoDesign Was expecting them to come tomorrow, will have to run home now and check them out after work tonight.

So since the bov is before the maf, the excess air doesn't pass through the maf causing a rich condition, right?

At least, that's what makes sense to me.
That's the general idea you got it. The picture of my intake, I've paired several in the first page and tons more on the "install" thread we were previously writing in.

Yah, sorry about that. I was under the impression you started with a direct filter on your turbo without using the JDL one.

That's what I get for thread hopping so much.

You guys mentioned before if we have HIDs the filter won't have much room. I assume it still fits but is extremely tight?

If so, won't that just wear the filter down even more than it did on @yomny ?

We also have a cold air option but you have to remove the washer bottle. It an additional $100

I'd be all for a CAI if it didn't mean deleting my washer bottle. JDL intake it is...

Check it out, I did mention it was my mistake and the clocking wasn't correct. The original filter won't touch or tear.

How tight is the fit on Jesse's?

Are the gt86 housings the same as the brz limited? I know the lights are different in layout, but hopefully not the rear of the housing that would be touching the filter.

Got my kit today! Looks sweet I'm excited for the install this weekend.

I have to say one thing though. There are a bunch of other kits out there and I went with JDL because of the way they handled some of the customers on this site. Well and their kit is very well designed.

Mine was missing a few parts so I called them up to let them know. Oh...and I also got a call today letting me know my stuff would arrive and to let them know if I had any questions.

Anyway, I have never in my life had such a good customer service experience getting the issues resolved. Not even close. Short of them packing stuff and driving it to me (which is unreasonable) they handled it amazingly.
