Black, blue, or gray.. i may have a choice here

My in town dealer is sold out on first allocation, but 2 dealerships out of town are working with me. One will have a WRB manual, and one black in manual coming in June. the other dealer said i could still place an order and get it in August. i wanted DGM, but since that dealershhip wont return my emails, I may just get either the WRB or the black. Im over 30 and feel the blue may be to young for me.. black would suit me better, but only like one pic on this forum has made me say "wow" to the black, where as the grays and blues look good. Can you guys sway me to one color or the other? Which will be less common? also if you find any other pics of black brz, please post them. the color thread on this forum doesn't have to many. thanks.

"Which one will be less common?"
Here's a hint: it sure ain't gonna be the blue.

If you want DGM, wait for it... I wouldn't make a rash decision about a car that I'm gonna have for a few years. Plus DGM is the best color (tied with SWP).

i know blue will be the most popular amongst us, but not vs all the cars on the freeway. So i too think that DGM will also be very popular. Black is usually a go to color, but i see no love for it on this forum. to me it looks the meanest.

Pick DGM because that's the color you wanted. When I got my last sti, I picked DGM for the same reason as you. I wanted a more grown up look. I was tired of all the attention I got in a white sti with a giant wing.

That said, I'm 33 and getting wrb and the first thing I'm doing is slapping gold rims on it.

Thats is freaking awesome. I'm 32 myself. Love the blue, but gray or black will be timeless.

I too like white and dgm, but given that we share those with Scion, I chose wrb. When you see it you know it's a Subaru.

you guys arent making this any easier. and to make matters worse, the dealership that hadnt returned my calls just called me. turns out she was in the hospital and wanted to let me know she hadnt forgotten about me. shes trying to estimate a value on my trade in and will get back to me tomorrow. so if the trade in value is good enough, i may put a deposit on package/color of my choice tomorrow. On top of this, the other dealer is working an estimate for my trade as well, but he only has wrb and black to offer me. I guess it will come down to who offers me more money for my trade. I can't decide! maybe i should go with galaxy blue.. a mixture of all three colors!

I'll tell you right now that Crystal Black has got my vote. I would however go with WRB if CBS wasn't available and DGM isn't dark enough imo.

So here's a pic of Crystal Black Silica if this can help sway you to the dark side.

I'm shocked that red is the rarest color! I shoulda ordered red after all, lol. Something about a blue Subaru, though... Glad GBS is the second rarest color so far.

For whatever its worth (probably not much) I am 36 and getting WRB because that is what I want. People are going to judge you no matter what (that is what they do), can't base your decisions on that.

I've said this before, but I was floored to find out my Firestorm FR-S was going to be a "rare" color. When I signed up for the 1st86 contest I almost didn't pick red because I thought, "everybody is going to order red".

I can tell you that since I had some 1 on 1 time with a Black Silica BRZ last week that I have a new love for it. It is a wonderful color in person and I wish I had ordered it over my DGM.

I also think it's fair to say that Black gets a lot more love around here than Red does. Lava even gets more love than Red FFS!

Never thought red would be a rare color, especially for the FR-S. Though future buyers (ie not us early adopters) my prefer it.

@Starscream15, no you don't lol. DGM is awesome.
