Paperwork has delayed FR-S from landing in dealerships

Confirmed now through my source at the car yards

The cars were all unloaded due to a ' bureacratic screwup ' from Scion Canada as I confirmed yesterday

Delayed indefinitly

What is your source? Quebec cars? All Canada?

Pretty big statement to make without any data.

I will be at the dealer at lunchtime, so I should know when I am getting my car.

i met oone of the upper-guys who work at scion canada two days ago actually. I saw an orange FR-S driving down the street in AJAX ontario andi was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i followed him and high beamed him like 50 times and finally he got out of the car lol and we had a nice convo.

What is guaranteed: Each dealership in canada will have at least 1 car for june 1st. after that; theres a slow flow of cars.

Can we clarify a few things here?

For starters, which port are we talking about? The one here in Vancouver?

If so is this related to the rail strike? Also who exactly did you talk to in order to confirm this screw up?

EDIT: If it helps, I could go to the port in Vancouver tomorrow and see if they have a pile of cars?

Believe me I was at the Dealer last week with the lady someone pointed as a Scion 'VP' for Canada literally swore to me that the cars would be here this week, she is driving a black Fr-S around town right now.

I don't know what the delay means for my car, I'm willing to wait but I know a local forumite here cancelled because of this at my Scion dealer and this is the best one in Montreal

I confirmed that this is not a rail strike thing, it is a paperwork screwup

Same here, my dealer in Quebec was supposed to get a black FR-S as a demo today, went to dealer and it was delayed some some reason I know my vendor and at least another one were trying to reach someone at scion CA to know why and they couldn't get an answer...so no test run tonight for meh QQ!!

Same story from my dealer...

A "paperwork issue" has delayed delivery, no ETA available.
Tracking (from dealer) shows my H8R en route, on the rails... must be doing a cross Canada tour, been on the rails for more than a week.
Funny, I feel like a mushroom.

I emailed my dealership to see if I can get my FR-S earlier and he mentioned the same story to me. The cars were being processed in the compound but then the dealership got a message explaining there were some documentation errors with a few of the FR-S that have arrived. But it is being corrected as we speak.

If it makes you feel any better, when my Dads Jensen crossed canada, it took 3 weeks.

Plus the car came during the WORST winter we've seen in 20 years. The fibreglass was warped, colour was different shades because of the temp change, and the rear window was toast. It had completely warped and cracked due to the cold.

3 weeks from Montreal to Vancouver.

There's an asphalt fr-s at my dealership and I can't buy it because of the paperwork issue. The dealership wanted me to put $1000 down to hold it, but I said I'm not going to do that. They agreed and I'll get it when the paperwork issue is resolved. I hope that doesn't take too long.

Take this and multiply it by a factor of 10! That's what I'm going through right now.

I can't go anywhere without people asking me if I have the car or when its going to be here. I'm super excited.
