I have every right to argue and refuse to show my ID but it's not worth the trouble. I know I'm innocent and cooperate as instructed. Walked home after just 5 mins worth of questioning.

Actually on this forum as a middle aged white dude with an Anglo linage traced as far back as 1646 I am the minority now!

Not necessarily funny but a good result!

I was driving around 80MPH at around 1:30am on the freeway yesterday and lucky me I got spotted by a hiding DPS officer. I thought I was screwed because my registration expired a few days ago and I'm not able to pay it til next week, so I knew I was getting a ticket.

Except I didn't. The officer gets to my window and the first thing he says is "you were speeding" or something to that regard, I wasn't really paying attention because of the second thing he said, which was "don't worry I'm just going to give you a warning tonight." And my brain imploded.

He actually said something like "I like to speed too, and you have a really nice car, what is it?"
I said it was a BRZ, and he said he loves cars like this, especially pulling them over (we laughed). Working for Vivid Racing I mentioned we work on exotics all the time like Porsches, Ferarris, Vipers, and the like and he quipped "I've probably pulled some of them over" (laugh again).

For the next couple of minutes we talk about cars and he asks me for my license and registration, insurance and I tell him my registration is expired by a few days and he said "don't worry about it"... Brain imploded to a singularity.

A few minutes later he says I'm all good and I thank him for being an example of what a good cop is and he says he appreciated it and we shook hands.

All I get are either very professional (good) cops that don't go friendly and they just write me speeding tickets.

Or d*cks that can't wait a freaking 3 minutes for me to pull up my insurance on my phone before giving me a ticket and having me waste half a day to go to court to show them the ******* piece of paper
