the first 3 video looks normal, nothing specific jumps out.

the last video did raise a lot of questions. the hair like material seems to be the organic friction pad material the clutch uses. it does support @Sportsguy83 statement that the clutch is shredded.

I cant think of an operational scenario that can create such premature wear condition w/o the car being boosted. however, i have a feeling that the dealership would simply reject warranty clam by saying this damage is from abuse and clutch is a wear and tear item.

PS. if your flywheel and pressure plate clamping surfaces are still good. you can get the friction material reapplied to your OE clutch disk.

There is a lot more of that fabric on the cover under the gear. Will remove the gear tomorrow or Sunday. And take pictures.

I'm planed to attend a track day (in 2 weeks) my first track day in this car(I was holding back all of the upgrades planed for this car just to expirance how the car handle in stock form).
I did a quick search to find a good quality clutch. But most of the reviews are a hit or miss on most brands. Called OSGgiken for their Grand Touring clutch. And they said its a 4 week back order.
Just to speed up things I had to order a clutch so I pulled the trigger on the ACT XT Street Clutch Kit Lightweight.

I hope I did the right thing.

they used my car for ACT clutch development back in 2012. unfortunately, i had clutch drag issue as a result of it due to ACT pressure plate diaphragm spring fingers being deformed during operation. mind you that this is w/o doing any performance driving.

i removed the clutch and sent it back to them. they decided to drop me like i didnt exist.

with that being said, I think ACT's design or quality control may be in question.

PS other forum members also reported having clutch drag issue similar to mine as well.

I think excedy may be the better choice. since they are the OE designer, they should have the OE spec limit and development data for their aftermarket product line.

I have never seen a clutch come apart like that. I normally wear out a clutch around 200,000 miles. To see fibers come apart like that almost looks like a manufacturer issue.

I'm honestly questioning Exedy a bit too these days.. I was originally thinking they would be the best way to go, but seeing a friction disk of theirs disintegrate and hearing about the issues that so many others had with being locked out of gear (@Sportsguy83 and others) worries me a bit.

I've had good luck with Clutchmasters in the past, and might go that route again when the day comes.

I went with the TODA Racing Flywheel & Clutch KIT (Sports disc).

I didn't want to remove the gear with out having the new clutch present. So more pictures will have to wait. Till next week... hopefully...

After cleaning

After removing the crankshaft timing plate as you can see found some oil.
It doesn't seem it's an engine or transmission oil. The color of the oil is light red and smells like an automatic transmission oil. The stock transmission oil color was gold.

Is this normal? Any suggestions?

Seems like your "friend" owes you a new clutch.

That is extreme abuse, no question about it.

That is unless YOU were doing a lot of "burn outs" before you loaned it to him....

Anyway, the car starts normal. I can engage any gear I want no problem but the car won't move. That's normal for a burned clutch.
But what was new to me is while the engine is running I can select any gear without pushing the clutch, and rev the engine but the car still won't move

Obviously I will need a new clutch. But is eneything els damaged? What other parts will I need?

Will order an after market clutch kit with new bearing.
Take it to the dealer and stick said "friend" with the bill. Either new clutch or new transmission.
