So here she rolled in ...

So here she rolled in, a Black Beauty in all her glory !

People were plentiful and I got to meet a few of you guys including a secret escapade for a few minutes.

1 - The Automatic is direct and immediate in the way it behaves, I've had the DSG on a GTI and this tiptronic transmission held it's own with any differences too small to really notice, beautiful stuff !

2 - The car feels lite on it's feet and is surprisingly well behaved on the insanely rough and patchy roads in Montreal, maybe a combination of the seats being insanely well buffered matched to the suspensions forgiving nature combined better than I assumed. The seats are just A+

3 - Torque is really progressive and although you only get 151lbs it spreads out in a much more linear way ( but less brutal ) than a GTi, Lancer or SiR

4 - God it looks fantastic in black, very very nice the paint really looks like something else and the car has that exotic stance.

5 - I'm about 6'4 and the height adjustment as well as the steering was a treat, maybe lighter than the GTi but consistent and en-ligne with the cars overall lghtness.

6 - Horn sounded a bit asthmatic

7 - Anyone who said this car is hard to drift, holy bananas this thing is as twitchy as an eczema stricken koala even in automatic

8 - We had the bespoke on it, sound quality was pretty good touch screen was quality stuff and not as glitchy or tough as the new Volkswagen system ( including the Fender)

9 - I have a pet turtle, the aquarium will fit in the back, humans over 5 foot 2 will suffer horribly, children will be fine.

10 - Car feels eerily lite, materials and overall finish are AoK but YMMV depending on what you are used to !

Nice, if a little late lol...

BTW, that is not a Bespoke unit, we don't get that here, it's just a mildly upgraded HU.

Sweet -- please dyno after break in (on a dynojet!) so we can compare and contrast with the MT.

That's all I care about!
We already have the family car and I'm still driving my wife's 14 old AT Acura EL. Desperately want a MT again and fell in love with this car but was worried about when I need to carry my 2 small children every once in a while. Wife is ok with it too!

Happy happy joy joy!!!
