Hmm, that's a shame. There's another Mod for me to do..i guess. If you prop that whole clock section open and use some red taillight spray tint on the inside, it'll match alot better. Or i'll do what i did with my sti and swap out everything for Red led's.

Good to know.. I don't think there is anything worse than the stock sound system in the STI. It's just so terrible

Eager to see what Perrin is going to come up with! Do you think you could find out the specs for the tow hook as I want to have a front license plate holder on the front tow hook. ^_^

I think the question is if you have Aha Radio as one of the "source" choices from the UI. Ie, Satellite, AM/FM, CD, Bluetooth... and hopefully (but I'm not optimistic) Aha Radio.

Good to hear about the radio, and the other STI comparisons, as I'm coming from an '08. I'm going to miss the power and AWD but am very excited about everything else! Hopefully my DGM will be here in the next couple weeks...

Congrats! Love the gauge cluster on the BRZ (not a fan of the white tach on the FRS). Question: In the driveway photo, does that wagon have exhaust outlets integrated in the bumper??

It makes me cringe, but they make us do that at my dealer, too. On 11:1 compression, turbocharged/supercharged engines... granted the manual says you can use regular gas at the expense of decreased performance, but still.

Jeff, let's find a way to disable the Event Data Recorder!
Illegal? Probably. Do I care? Absolutely not.

Ya, its got some audible knock from 0% throttle to 100% throttle smashes. Its really feint, but its there. As long as i roll into the gas its fine. I only had yesterday to put some miles on the car. But at least i am down to half a tank.

I am not worried, NA engines deal with knock just fine.

Well yes. Its too bad that we didn't really know the differences. Besides the wing, Alcantara, keyless entry, I missed out on:
Heated seats, silver door trim (like the steering wheel and dash), possibly a 60/40 split rear seat (website shows this for both cars but mine is 1 piece), gear indicator (can't get it to work) and i am sure there are a few other things.

That's what I'm afraid of. I never thought twice about getting the base WRX, but with the BRZ it seems you are getting a lot for the extra $2K. Granted you are now buying a $28K car, and it starts to get really close to other vehicles in the low 30's. The only problem is around here there are plenty of premium BRZ's up for grabs that are being shipped to the dealer in June that haven't been claimed, but the limited are all pre-ordered.

I just picked up my Limited BR-Z and having ridden in the Premium to the dealership, I think there are honestly two different buyers / cars here, not two trim levels.

The Premium by itself is better than just fine. It is REALLY great and a genuine value. You don't even need all that it has to enjoy the driving experience. Take the $2K that you saved and mod the car instead. This buyer is a tuner buyer in my opinion.

The Limited is a car that more buyers will purchase and not change. They want the fancy interior, the heated seats, climate control, wing, keyless entry etc. etc. I can easily see this buyer thinking they have already gotten all the goodies they ever wanted and more and won't think to mod it at all. That being said I did enjoy my bun warmers on the drive home.

Lastly lets not forget about the Scion FR-S in this comparo. I ordered an FR-S as well and it will likely be here at the end of the month. Dealer told me $24XXX out the door! That is nearly $5K less than the car I just bought! Sure it doesn't have Nav, or HID's, Leather etc. etc. etc. but holy crap the way the car drives, the smile it puts on your face, the grins you get from others will ALL be the same! Plus being a tuner, gearhead, $5K goes MILES in transforming the car into something I created, not something the mfr. created.

Hope that ramble makes some sense!

Oregon, land of no taxes. Fees already built into the price.

^^^ yup no sales tax. Although the property tax, inventory tax, personal property tax, employment tax............ we still get ours in the end. But for car nuts with an itch to mix it up a lot it is the land of milk n honey!
