Yeah it's been like 8 months or something hah. Thanks again for that drive and convincing me to buy it back before it even came out.

If I turn off the system and drive hard (on the 91 ESC map), will it be damaging to the car? I am wondering if I can do a dyno with the system off to get a baseline of where stock is. I know the drag of the compressor will lower the hp but just for reference.

Reconnect it. Go for another test lap. HOLY SHIT lol. The difference in speed and torque is massive. My tires slipped on first gear even though I didn't launch it at all.

This is all on 91 map with 91 octane too, can't imagine e85. I am pretty satisfied . It's hard to stop smiling lol.

Regarding the burn, I messed up my install and had to go back and accidently shorted a connection. That may be why but I'm not sure.

For those who are installing or going to install, the hardest part for me was actually "drilling" out the rivets to remove the resonator chamber on the intake. Second would probably be aligning the ESC. The rest is a breeze. Took about 3 hours.
For future installers would recommend getting a firm grip on to the rivet (on the inside) with needle nose pliers while drilling, will prevent the rivet from spinning with the drill bit (and scraping into the plastic) after it loosens up.

I'm far from an expert, but I don't think there is any danger of running hard with the system turned off. The ESC should be set to kick in at 75% throttle, which is when the computer(ECU) jumps to open-loop? fueling, which will automatically adjust to more air if you have boost or less air if you don't.

You could just turn the system off, but since it only takes about 5 minutes (or less) to swap the stock intake tube back in for the compressor. Doing the swap would give you the peace of mind of the most accurate baseline.

Make sure to cap off the sound tube port. I used a 1 1/4" PVC cap and hose clamp (about $4 total from Home Depot). Easy peasy. You'll become faster at realigning the compressor with practice.

i did kick the rear end loose pretty often but i was also on stock rubber...so i just attributed the lack of grip to shitty tires lol. plus the fact i didn't rotate tires that often...

I am sure if you goto a dyno shop they will have a bone stock baseline to overlay unless you want to see a true before and after if you have addition bolt-ons.

Yes, it will require our Procede piggyback computer. I'm first developing the Mazda MX5 application. After that, I'll work on the GT86 application. It basically wires into your ECU harness (tap into 4-5 wires). Download free Procede mapping software from our site, connect your laptop to the Procede and map your own throttle/rpm ESC activation table. We would also provide a pre-loaded off-the-shelf map if you don't want to map anything yourself. The Procede would replace the throttle switch entirely.

Downside? Cost. I don't know exact pricing yet but it will be more expensive than the throttle switch
