As popular as they're going to be, definitely thinking Bronze or maybe even gunmetal (if they were available) TE37 for my Ultramarine (GBS) FRS.

Haven't looked into them yet though, are they the same offset as the stock wheels?

Edit: Though I do kinda like the 37 Espcorts

dish would mean wide wheel? Can you live with stagger setup or setting a high high limit for the car

God I wish I was making up the name. Those wheels would look so good on my white FR-S, but I don't think I could look anybody in the eye when they ask me what brand they are. Have to accent it. "Ah, these are by a little known Japanese brand called Hato-sutafu."

Sounds like you're parodying Speed Racer when you say it all together like that. No lie, I heard a "...uuah!" at the end of that sentence as I was reading it.

I am pretty sure I am going with a set of these for Stock Class AutoX. Kosei K4R 17x7 ET50 and weigh 14.1lbs Wheels will only have R-Comps and driven on the track. Don't care for how they look as long as they are light and will do the job.

I have these for my BMW and love them. So light and it looks good. My only concern is 17X7 will only allow mounting of the stock size 215. Nothing wider should go on it. Maybe I'll just get a set for 215 for street use and get another set of RPF1 for track with wider tires.

If it were a Street Tire I would completely agree with a 215. However I will be putting on Hoosier A6 R-Comps to compete in Stock Class. So depending on how much tire you can stuff in the wheel wells, will determine to a degree what I will make fit on that Wheel

Have to do what you can when it comes to Stock Rules haha.

How wide do you think you can go with the 17X7? For autox I guess its not that big a deal if you pinch the tires.

I have seen a 245/40/17 put on a 17x7 MazdaSpeed 3 Stock Wheel. Surprisingly it didn't seem to look that bad. Clearly you would want to have a nice wide wheel to accommodate it if you can.

I will probably test fit some 245's I already have sitting around and see if it clears ok and if not probably drop it down to a 225/45/17 Hoosier A6.

Avant Garde M550....not available in 5X100 or anything less than a "19....yet. I was told by an AG rep that if the demand is there they will build in accordance. Beautiful wheel and I hope they do an "18 in 5X100...

sorry, i'm a wheel noob... what specs do I need to ask for in ordering custom wheels for the FRS? I am trying to get several companies to make wheels for our spec for a good lightweight, forged, race wheel, that we could also rock on a DD... or is it too early to ask? I remember seeing that measurements were taken by several companies, but I don't see them really sharing that kinda info this early on. Might be wrong, but just don't know where to look.

Also, are there pros/cons to 16,17,18? Like tire size availability, price, weight? I know some cars are different so I'd like to know.

I recommend that you look at the top of this subforum where a thread called Wheel 101 can give as much basic info before buying. It might help get an idea of what you might want and if not ask any authorized dealers nearby for any questions. I recommend others who are new to read it.

It's pretty simple really...5X100 bolt pattern and no offsets below +30. Only thing I don't know is max tire/wheel width at the front. At the rear it's "10.

Oh man, I remember I wanted these so bad for my WRB STi, but I was always so broke after I made my $550 car payment.

I paid them no mind when they were on sale, because they weren't the look I wanted for my car at the time (ended up going with SSR Comps). But realized I had been subconsciously looking for this exact wheel by narrowing down what I liked and hated about everything else. Gram Lights 57pro: "Like the gold & polish, but not enough spokes." Advan RZ: "Like the spokes, but too much gold. Looks weird." Then I see a pic of these, and figure out, of course, it was a limited edition. Stupid marketing ploys, manipulating supply and demand like that.

Wondering if I can't just get a set of CE28N's, and have the rims polished. I'm hung up on gold/ bronze wheels with a polished lip on a white car, and yet the trend now seems to be more towards gunmetal/ dark gray/ black. Anybody got any experience with polishing the rim of a painted/ powder-coated wheel?
