Auto123 BRZ review

Quote of the day:
Quote:
The low centre of gravity means that the car's suspension does not need to work as hard to keep it stable. Therefore, it doesn't need to be tuned as stiffly for better ride comfort and stability. That's the equivalent of Gwyneth Paltrow being available and attracted to you at the same time.

Oh if only miss Paltrow were... who didn't drool a little after seeing her walk away in The Avengers?

Back on topic, another positive review! Some of the facts were a little off, but hey, that's the internetz for you.

I didn't drool over her as much as Scarlet Johannson pretty much every second she was on screen...back to cars...nevermind.

The 2.0L (based on the FB20 from the Impreza) generates 200 hp at 7,000 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque between 6,400 and 6,600 rpm. To get the most out of the mill, the revs have to climb and be kept high as good times start above 5,000 rpm. The 7,450-rpm redline comes in quick after peak hp but the BRZ has a programmable shift light to keep you on your toes. Here, I no longer wanted nor needed more power.
This goes against all power vs torque charts posted in this forum...

It's pretty clear by now that the manual produces much more acceptable power levels and that you have to learn where to keep it in the powerband for good push.

It comes in more than 4 colors... And the Scion is $24990, not $25990...

These reviewers really need to fact check...

last but not least the passion

a lot of people forget that toyota still had a big part, expecially the passion, the car wouldnt be this fun to drive without toyotas determination on making the perfect drivers car and all the times TADA said "nope this isnt good enough and needs to be better" made the car what it is... the car we all love, that 95% of the reviewers love( that is a hard feat in itself...)

yeah sure we use the chassis, engine, suspension, and the manufacturing plant from subaru, but i still believe toyota had more part in making the car than people think....

Maybe I'm getting old, but she looked best 10-15 years ago. Perhaps that was before a lot of your times.

Not that I don't think she still looks good, for turning 40 in a few months.

In the Editor's review highlights, once again they complain about the backseat. It's a sports car! Do reviewers ever complain about the Porsche 911 backseat? The BRZ/FRS backseat is about the same size as the 911 and the 911 is a sports car.
