Does anyone know if I can get 18"wheels that would weigh the same or less than the stock wheels. It is so hard to find out for weights for some of the wheels. I really like these wheels here http://www.rallyxd.com/rallyxd/2012/...ept/#more-4865 But I cant seem to find out how much they actually weigh. But if anyone knows of any other 18" wheels that will weigh the same or less than stock please let me know. Thanks

It's strange that a wheel that advertises it's light weight doesn't tell you how much they weigh.... From what I've heard the stock wheels weigh 9.1kg or 20.1lbs. You can definitely get 18" wheels that are lighter. These for example weigh only 16.2 lbs. Usually the lighter the wheel the less durable they are so be careful.

So true. I have a set of SSR Comps that ended up bending and cracking from being daily driven. They had a 235/40-18 tire on them, so there was at least a little bit of rubber to absorb the bumps, but it didnt help

Well if you want real good products in 18" that wont bend on the first pothole or sidestep and wtill weigh way less than 17" stock , no secret , go for forged Rays , or BBS , or eventually Advan, yes they all cost a lot, but ... you get what you pay for ! I'd rather keep the stock 17" than fitting cheap tuner wheels just for the sake of upgrading to 18" ... just my 2 cents.

Uehhh?!!! Where do you live, and how do you drive?! I only ask because I had a set of SSR Comps on a tuned WRX when I lived in Missouri (which has the 2nd worst roads in the nation according to some organization that tracks such things). Drove on those wheels daily, even in the winter time through snow and slush, and even raced on them... and never had any problems. Those were my favorite wheels on any car I've owned, and guess I'm just surprised to hear that they've buckled on anybody out there.

Im in VA, the land of endless road work. Im an aggressive driver, but not in construction zones. Ive never bent a wheel in the past, and Ive hit some nasty potholes.

Do a search for cracked SSR, youll see plenty of people with the same problem. Some on track, some daily driven. IIRC, it mainly affected the wheels from the first year or two of production.

The newer Type Cs are slightly stronger, but also heavier.

Wow. Guess I got crazy lucky. Mine were from around 2003. Hit every pothole in the state, raced on them... hell, drove that car like I stole it 99% of the time, and mine never broke.

Shoulda been buying more lottery tickets, I guess.

Volk TE37 time attacks are light as hell for their size.

I remember picking one up (it actually might have been the CE28N) and was like holy cow (It was a 19" i think for a friend's buddys BMW). And i remember picking up stock BMW 19's or 18's and the were heavy as hell in comparison.

Thanks for everyones comments. Especially the pics of those wheels and weight. I wish Gram Light wheels have their weight advertise so it will be easier to make a comparisons. But I was always a fan of Enkei Wheels.I will probably get the Enkei wheels after I get the car, because I know for sure how much they weigh before i buy them.Not to mention they are alot cheaper then the gram lights.

The biggest problem I see with wheels for this car is the oddball 5x100 bolt pattern. Why couldn't they just use the more common 5x114. Ugh. I suppose given the demand the wheel manufacturers should be building 5x100 sets now.

Spare parts bin... Their will be adapters for the desired wheel bolt pattern, or they'll change it on another refresh...
