To update the site, Tire Rack needs the FR-S to photograph, and they are looking for a volunteer in South Bend, IN. If Scion Corporate had lent them a test mule, there would be an interactive wheel system already up on their site. I'd say we're about a month away from full functionality.

Funny how the car looks different to me knowing that these are, "no shit," in the wild pictures. Maybe it's because these are pictures of somebody's actual baby, and they are not doctored shots. I recognize that it's purely psychological, but I love it! The car looks better like this than in all the reviews and videos because I know it actually belongs to a normal guy.

Hi Pekingduck!
First, thanks for sharing your impressions, second:
how different is the driving feel with the eibach springs? is it hard as hell or is it actually nice to drive??

Thanks and best Regards from Vienna, Austria!

I will posting what I think about the springs. The springs are not ready for consumer yet, so my impression might not be what you get. They said they are going to make some adjustment to it.

Dang you can really see the dirt there

Why is there such a huge gap between the shell and the roof? Is the wiring in the way?

that's not a gap. it's just the rubber gasket.

I would also like the drop on the springs, also are those released yet or did you somehow get them before hand?

Its one hell of a gasket. Doesn't look clean to me, sorry. I guess they don't have roof curvature of BRZ/86 yet.

If FRS is firm(the softer one among the twins), better to buy pillows for the BRZ

Or maybe it's because of the overhead lighting of the canopy and the size comparison with the gasoline pumps?

He may be a quick enough driver but he kinda sucks at shifting. He was miss-shifting and didn't rev-match any of the gears. Made me cringe a few times.

Haha, well said.

How do the Eibach Springs compare to stock? I'm not a fan of their pro/sport kits since they are progressive rates but the drop looks nice enough.

It looks great. Did I read wrong or did you say the Pro-kit was more aggressive drop/rates than the Sportlines? Because if so, this is the first kit they've done that way. Sportlines have always been lower and more aggressive if. I've had them. Pro-kits generally drop about an inch and are meant for use with stock shocks.

yeah i know :P but hes still has a good line around that track, some of the gt86 reviewers were down shifting the same way, i guess no body ever let them know what heel toeing was...

You should have your very own "first fr-s owners meet" by yourself. Just get a snap of it in an empty parking lot.

Just back from a test drive earlier today, where I spent about 2 hours with the car (impressions up here), and the wheel gap did not look anywhere near as extreme as that shown in the first photo above - even when kneeling down by the wheel.

Hi, Peckingduck!
First, thanks for sharing your thoughts of the FRS and congrats in being the first one to own one. Secondly, with regards to your power issue I'de say just wait for TRD or HKS superchargers. I found this cite in a magazine where they offered a few upgrades already and if it's a repeat then sorry. Enjoy!
