I am running e85 with de-catted stock header(and front pipe) right now. e85 almost sounds like popcorn if it isn't just right, and the expansion chamber that the hollow cat makes doesn't make it any better. The Gas maps sound like gun shots though.

I'm running no cats in the video above. also running a 10:1 AFR in the same load range that timing is -15. I think that for consistent flames, one needs to install a grill ignitor. haha

Regardless, I notice that .15 load happens more often than I would like. This causes the car to lurch a lot in almost any gear after getting off and back on the throttle... Probably not good for the transmission or engine. lol Almost worth it for the awesome sound though.

I've ran this backfiring/exhaust popping setup almost 3,000 miles and had to switch it for a standard map as the daily popping damaged the packing in my Q300 resulting in a loud ass exhaust.

I'm also running a Q300... lol I think I liked the car more before I got all pop drunk so I'm going to revert to a normal tune as well.

I ran it for almost 7-8 month, no issues besides black exhaust tip. I went back and am super glad I did. It drives so much nicer on initial tip in (tip out...).
