Do you offer a core charge perhaps for the airbag? Would help a lot of us who don't need the factory one after.

It unfortunately wouldnt work that way. The first thing is that these are coming from japan so they are being sold outright, they dont take cores back to japan. Second, since these have that 86 design, the one on the car with the Scion logo wouldnt be taken in exchange. Best bet would be to hold unto it till later when it can probably be sold again to a 3rd party.

I'm hoping that was a typo. 100 bucks for two plastic pieces is a rip off.

I don't know what you're talking about.

However you did get my point though. That price is a rip off.

The non-US model has the 86 instead of the Scion logo

That's actually not bad considering they are OEM lights; @ $50/each.

Well then I could go out of my way and just get custom markers if I'm going to pay that much for them. Maybe I'll get a better deal unless aftermarket can do this before I do for next year.

You could go that route.

I could always tell the difference between aftermarket OEM looking products vs the OEM.

It's a 1st year production car. Give it some time and I'm sure the cost will go down. I want to eventually swap it out but then again, I'm waiting a year or 2.

But they're just clear light markers. You would really go that far to study a little thing like that to make sure its original.

Oh, but that's a different story though. Good point though.

However I could still say the same thing when FRS poeple go out their way to change out things to look like the Toyota 86, but its still going to be Scion, you know.

That's gonna be me! I want to rid it of everything Scion! Even if the toolkit says Scion, it's going in the bonfire!

Another comparison that I'm currently seeing is the OEM Tacoma LED tail lights vs the China made ones.

OEM

Amazon version

That's another reason why I don't want the burden of having a Scion. EVERYTHING MUST BURN, at some point.

You definitely deserve a lot of props if you really get everything to the exact bone mirror image of the JDM 86.

And after a quick look I can only see minor finish differences between the tail lights, maybe, unless its just the lighting. Other than that they look pretty much the same. Also I'm not feeling those Amazon versions.
