Anyone else cave in to another car?
So my original intention was to buy the FR-S, but I figured I'd look at some cars at a local dealership because I thought 25k was a little steep for what you get. I ended up finding a 2004 BMW 330Ci and got it for 10.5K in prestine condition and fully loaded with a 6-speed manual tranny. I couldn't say no, anyone else have similar stories?

No way! My Audi A4 has been in need of replacement for a while now but I've been waiting and saving my money since March of 2011. We're so close to the cars finally being here, its stupid for me to waste all that time waiting just to buy something else.
Plus, I just found out my car might actually be sitting in a holding pen in Richmond waiting for me to pick it up!!! Color me excited! ![]() bneale |

I think the FR-S is moderately priced and I hope many more prospects will have have the same mentality as you and move on to another car. We want to reduce the demand shift in any way shape or form.

I've been following the production of this car since 2009, and still haven't caved into buying another car. You weren't that interested in the first place.

OP, If there was something else out there that was as purpose built, had a hard top, four seats and didn't cost Porsche money, I would seriously consider it. I just haven't found it yet. |

Gratz on the car OP. I have been looking at the 08-09 (skyline 370 gt/infinity G37). It's pretty nice with semi luxurious interior. Seats look amazing.same engine that's in the 370Z. I could probably get one in Australia for around 35k. But at this time I'm going to be patient and test drive the 86 before I do anything.

I bought a POS beater. So I'm not in a hurry to buy a car now. But the sooner I get a decent car the happier I'll be.

Whoever said I wasn't that interested in the first place, ugh, I've been following this car for over a year... No matter, still got a quality car and I'll be lurking in here every now and then just to see whats up Hopefully the sibling rivalry between Scion and Toyota will cease and no more brand favoritism to annoying levels between Toyota and Subaru debated once the car comes out. Kinda agree, kills things on here.

I'm not cancelling my BRZ, but I have to say, I've seen some really clean late 80s 911s for sale near by...

To the first post, congrat on BMW.
As for me, today I totally changed my thought... Seriously, it's an amazing car. $25k? Hell, not a problem! All the future stuff waiting for this car, it's hella cheap! |

Weird. Today was actually the first time I even thought about getting another car other than FR-S. I'm trying hard to keep myself from getting interested in other cars until I actually get to see and test drive the FR-S in person.

The funny thing about me is I only like one other car other than the BRZ Limited under 35k so its always back and forth between the two. The reason I have only 2 cars on my list is because I like a lot of things in one.
RWD Low slung GT good looking shape 2+2 Sport package Premium Pkg Nav system pkg Good steering to Excellent steering feel Good to Excellent road feel Not high maintenance and no expensive parts(Euro's I am looking at you bastards) Mostly reliable Engine with good performance Under 35k |

I seriously thought (well am thinking) about a new Miata, which I can get fully loaded for the same price as the BRZ Limited. Thankfully the practicality of the Miata has kept me back...but if the BRZ doesn't live up to my (absurdly high at this point) expectations, then I think I'lll go Miata.
