As others have stated, I'm not all too interested in the Nav, HID, and I like the front end.
Though the limited availability of the BRZ in my area was also a factor, as I was able to secure the #1 spot at my local toyota for the fr-s. Getting a car sooner sans the extras I didn't really want to begin with? Sounds good to me. I will say two year maintenance is moot.....I'll do it all myself.

I like the FR-S front end better, don't want NAV, like the cheaper price, more Toyota dealerships in town (for servicing), free 2–year maintenance plan.

As long as you have the receipts showing you followed the service schedule laid out in the manual, where you have the service done (provided it is a legitimate shop) cannot be considered when making a warranty claim.

??? That is mis-information. The college graduate program DOES apply to the FR-S.

Toyota is the largest shareholder of FHI, they own over 4 times more than the next largest shareholder, The Master Trust Bank of Japan, LTD. So, in essence, if one were to ask who owns FHI, you could say Toyota.

It's been beaten to death that pure pricing does not equal MSRP. There will be Scion dealers who'll mark up the FRS. Few members have already confirmed this with their local dealer.

When Toyota has 50.1% of FHI share then I would consider Toyota owner of FHI, until then, doesn't matter if they are the largest outside investor, they are still have no control over FHI.

Lol so many react to the front bumper of the BRZ but they don't know that the aftermarket for the car is going to be big. Also, whatever fits on the BRZ fits on the FR-S, and vice-versa. So, I don't understand how the exact same car with better features, except for a different bumper design may throw a customer off...
Well, more BRZ's for the rest of us

The real question will be how long until those parts are affordable and won't further increase the difference in price of the two and how much things such as a NAV, HID, a leather wrapped ebrake handle, and undetermined seat fabric quality differences mean to someone. I'm actually semi interested in getting a set of brz seats if someone ends up ditching them while converting their brz to a different type; pending that one really outshines the other as I want something that's going to last and be semi-oem. ...I'm sure there's more, but gotta get back to work
