Go to 5:05 to watch shift light in operation - and listen to some sweet sounds.

Driver is wearing more bling than your average rap star.

I have no idea what he's saying but if he showed an Opal GT so he's OK by me!

I had such a longing for one of those back when I was a teenager. A neighbor had one he was selling but I just couldn't come up with the scratch to buy it.

I thought the flip over headlights were just the business!

Based on the low brightness level and brownish color balance in the video, I'd say WRB.

On the Opel GT: I saw a lovely one around here a few years ago, looked great - but boy it is slim, makes the FR-S look like a fat 370Z by comparison. Gets my vote as one of if not the most beautiful GM car of all time.

Pretty sure it's WRB. As much as I stare I don't see any of the metallic bits that make up GBS.

Yea, it was definitely a tiny sucker. Love that ^red one^! I haven't seen a live one in years. It was sold in the US by Buick I believe, but as an Opel.

The one my neighbor had was light blue.

Haha, I understood it all.

He says he likes the engine, it really makes the character of the car. It handles well, like a cart actually. He really wants to keep it in the high rpms and thinks that it might be lacking just a little bit of torque on the low-end. Interior's not bad and the layout is fairly intuitive, but you don't really pay attention to the cheapness of it when you're driving; it's made so that you don't take your attention from the important part...the driving. He continues go on about enjoying driving the car, stating that he's smiled since he drove the first km and hasn't stopped smiling. The car is very comunicative regarding what the tires are doing, slip angle, what input is needed mid-corner, etc.. It just holds to the corners like it's defying physics; he mentions it doesn't have any pretentions to hooliganism, but neither does it have that classy air to it. It really reminds him of the marquees Lotus and Mazda. Its got a trunk, but the back seats are useless...they are an etension of the trunk when folded flat, really. It's a true return to tradition.

Hah! I somehow missed his bling the first time through because I was focused on the car. That is one heck of a watch! I'm guessing it eats up 2HP just on its own.

OMG, the views of this going through the mountains make me want to drive it now! I'm going to have to take a day off after mine arrives just to drive up to the mountains for some road time!

I was more attentive to the racket he made while shifting due to the bracelets knocking about.

So if James May was Russian... I'd say this is his cousin just like the Stig seems to have cousins in every country. God help us if they discover the Russian Jeremy Clarkson! Or am I just Putin?
