And to add to my post honestly I like standalone ecus but they are costly and they more or less are only needed after a certain point. I know Cobb is good for reprogramming and ecutek seems to have a good rep so it's just a matter of fixing any installations issues and then checking the tune.

I mean I checked everything today myself took off everything.. And nothing I'm gonna switch back to the old map and see if I still overboosting ..
If it doesn't over boost then it has to be the tune right?

If the older tune doesn't overboost, then yes, it can be the tune. Since you're using a boost controller there should be a line going to the wastegate that holds it shut until the correct amount of boost is reached before it allows it to open. I would honestly first check your car by 1) running on the wastegate only to ensure that it is mechanically setup correct and then 2) putting the boost controller back in the loop. If it fails with it back in the system then it could be 1) a bad boost controller solenoid or 2) a bad tune. And yes, putting in a boost cut setting is a good idea.

Went back to the old map and I stalled while I was driving 50 kmh . Car wouldn't start almost died lol
Pulled over uploaded back to the shit map and still same shit .

I'm starting to think maybe it's the engine . It's very hard to believe it's not damaged ..

Out of curiosity how much of a tune did you get for daily drivability? Most places can easily tune wot but the normal driving is what's tricky. Can you pull any logs and examine them? How was the car feeling before it stalled? Do you have a afr gauge to know where you were at and also what were your rpms at? There's a lotta things that it could have been.... Not enough fuel... Idle set too low...if you can get any logs it would help a lot. Load them up and try to read them

You're starting to think it's the engine? Do an oil change and see if there's anything odd in your oil.

I would also do what has been suggested and reach out to someone (i.e. @nelsmar, @jamesm @moto-mike @ptuning @FullBlown) that can generate a very basic map for your mods.

I say basic in the sense of all you need to test is starting (cold, warm and hot) and cruising. Stay out of boost until the other issues are sorted out. If the car can start, idle and cruise just fine with a new map then the issue was with your tune. If one of them can get you started and things are moving in a positive direction then continue to work with them to get yourself dialed in.

However, before you load any new map take a look to make sure all your v-bands are tight and you don't have any vacuum or exhaust leaks.

I appreciate it guys! You guys are wonderful help. Like I mentioned before I'm still learning myself this stuff. Going to mechanic school in September to learn more.

As of now I think I'm gonna bring it to a garage. I just never have time !

@Scalzo not sure if you've been asked:
1. did you ever log your car? has ever been running well or you just assumed so?
2. did you ever do the boost leak test? it's easy to make tester, i strongly suggest you do it yourself to be 100% sure. At least you should have by now inspected the PCV hoses (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62709) and MAF sensor o-ring.

So this is my story, I live in Montreal took a vacation to florida . While planning the trip I had problems with my tune with Toni switched tuner to JR ..installed fuel pump injectors , he dynoed it. Tuned it. Everything ran 120%! I got to florida everything was fine . 3 weeks in florida running perfect car felt great made good power. Then went back I get a radiator installed and then since then had all kinda of problems . Rough idle , overboosting . I had the radiator check when I got back home everything is fine . I was scared it could of been the turbo had I checked and nothing.. Since march it's been like this.. On and off

I log my car after every tune I get. I do a data log of 3rd gear 2.5k rpm to redline
I'm gonna YouTube how to do a boost leak test. PCV hose flew off once now it's been ziptied back and nothing .
I haven't checked the MAF sensor oring, ( for that I just unscrew it and check if the ring is still there?)
