I wonder what happened to the '8th of June' release date then? can they release the car then wait 2 weeks to release the price? <- has no idea how this works so serious question.

No worries Quick update guys, i just took another deposit for a pre-order this arvo so we only have 2 left of our 4 first batch cars available so if you want to be one of the first owners contact me at: andrew.smith@peterwarren.com.au or on either 02 9828 8948 or 0406 237 776.

At this stage those who are in our first allotment (we anticipate) will be receiving their cars towards the end of June/early July.

As for those elusive demo cars...hmmm....We reckon there might be a couple floating around towards the end of May, however, from what i have seen of the official documentation they are considering end of May to release demo's to the dealers. Now whether that means only dealers will be permitted to test the cars as part of the official dealer launch or whether we will be able to offer drives to clients has not been determined as yet that i know of.

The majority of information flying around at the moment is all pure speculation because Toyota Australia have not released anything in writing confirming their plans. There is an internal dealer document doing the rounds on the web as the "official release" but even all the details in that document have not been confirmed 100% as anyone who has actually seen that document which was printed in February, 2012 would know that it is stated more than once on it that not all of the information has been finalized - hence the reason it was not published on the Toyota Australia website.

I know it's a pain waiting for definite answers, believe me i know - you guys are seeing how popular the car is on these forums - try it when you're getting 50+ calls a day plus people walking in off the street for a look and having nothing concrete to tell anyone - it's very frustrating indeed.

Are you offering a pull out clause, if so what are the details, pm if need be. What colour is this car?

sent an email to the dealer today and was told my car is scheduled to be built on 15th June. it's good timing for me and i should have my car for my birthday (pending price of cos)....

placed pre order in mid Feb.

spec is "high" and colour is satin pearl white

nothing to track. i don't care at this stage, i just want to know the damn price and spec. that's more important becos it means yes/no car.

i know i won't get their first batch of cars becos they didn't order a white one in their inital batch. they had blue and orange.

So you have selected high but they can't tell you watch options the car is getting built with!!! THAT IS FUCKED!!!!

Not too disagree with anyone but if these cars start to arrive in 4wks how can they not know the final specs?

What can honestly be left to decide on. The dam car will come just fine out of the factory.

Surely it would be min 4wks from production/loading/travel/wait in line up of Oz coast/customs and then delivery to dealers.

Cutting it fine arent we TMCA.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with you. But you know, IF they change something, they'll hide behind that excuse.
