That sound close to what my dealer told regarding delivery, He suggested first delivery late April/Early May. I expect mine around late May or June.

Continental Subaru in Anchorage, Alaska has 12 allocations. Only 5 are spoken for and oddly enough 4 of those are employees, LOL.

I stopped by my local dealer today to ask about ordering one once I can test drive (either if a buddy gets his or if the dealer gets one in the next few months). He told me they received a message today (3/30/12) stating the numbers sold in Japan exceeded prediction (the 3500 units sold), and that ordering in the US was ceased until November. He also said that every dealer will only get one 'for now', and most / all of those are going to guys who have already ordered. I'm in NC, so my stated wasn't on the list of allocations on the first thread. This might be complete crap information, but he seemed to be genuine. He said it was bad for dealers because he has told two people now to call around to other dealers to see if they have already sold their one..........Anyone else hear of this.

actually that would make sense they also planned on increasing production. the Allocation list is based on what users post if your dealership isn't on the list that only means no one posted the allocations for them

Just finished communicating with a dealer in Montana that has 3 pre-orders left.

I negotiated down to 28,200 with no fees or anything, before WY tax/license fees which will be around 1500-1600. Monday I have to make a $1000 refundable deposit along with a signed "buyers order" that Subaru is asking for with pre-orders.

I sure didn't expect to get invoice living in the middle of nowhere, but this deal seems pretty good to me. A rough estimate of when the car would arrive was put at mid June! I think that's the best part!

Going for a Galaxy Blue Silica Limited MT with no other options.

Once I finalize the down payment I'll give details on the dealer, don't want to jinx myself!

28,270 actually. And by that I meant, no doc fees or other junk. So it's under MSRP without any add-on costs. Barely...

Im assuming you opted for the limited?

MSRP is $28,265. You're paying $65 under MSRP with no dealer/ttl fees. Not the best of deals but considering the demand for this car I doubt anyone else can do any better.

The build-it site shows 28,270 for the limited so I'm going to think to myself that I saved 70 bucks and I didn't expect to get invoice. Where I live it's hard to get invoice on a Sentra.

When I bought my Celica in 01, went to dealers in Denver, Salt Lake, and half a dozen other places, ended up getting it for MSRP as well, without fees. Maybe I'm just a terrible negotiator.

6 for Byers Imports (in Whitehall)
8 for Byers Subaru (in Dublin)
That should complete the Columbus market as there are only 3 dealerships. I don't know how many spots they have left but I am 3 of 6 at Byers Imports and ordered almost a month ago

What is the meaning of "Paint Protection: Apply 3M Paint Protection Film" under the "Break-in Period" heading? Does that just mean that Subaru is recommending that those who want to install a paint protection film go ahead and do so within the break-in period?
