I am torn. Do I keel this beloved nimble sports car that I have and pull the trigger on a ESC or put the money to trade in for a 2015 WRX? Decisions. One thing is for certain i, I am bored of the power in my FRS

Either way is a great in my opinion (though the fact there isn't a hatchback is a travesty) . Worse case scenario if you buy the esc someone will buy it off you immediately if you still feel you need the wrx.

Do you need 4 doors? You are going to take a decent size hit that could pay for a good chunk of a boosted twin. I say boost for twin in some form or another.

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Stock for stock I might be tempted to go STI, but if you're comfortable modding and go dollar for dollar, the twins are the way to go.

Note I only say tempted. For me, power isn't everything. I love the NA feel of the twins, which is why I went ESC. As close to NA as boost gets, IMO. I also love the RWD and the light, nimble chassis. You would lose all three going to an STI, so if it is something you like, be warned. But you gain AWD, power, and space.

To me; the two are relatively even matched, just pick your preference.

Hey Fenton or anyone who cares to answer,

I understand that Rob has tweaked the controller since its original release to be more " beefy" with better heat dissipation. Can you elaborate as to what changes if any were done for this product in its newer release? Thx

It's a bigger box with a different arrangement of the innards. The retail controller is the new design from my understanding.

There are better components inside that can handle more load. For reference the old controller could do 3-3.5kw, the newer controller can do 4-4.5.

The motors he is using now have better electronics inside as well. The first ones were good as well he has just beefed everything up because that is what he does

I have not been asked to test anything new yet. I am continuing to torture test my TQ300 with 1.5 dump and aux charger. The 300 is good but the 250 is also performing really well...plus it has less lag at start up. Rob is fully committed to putting out a solid product for all the people that are currently interested. He has ordered lots of parts and will be fully consumed with putting all the new kits together.

Stopped by Robs today and holy is there a lot of stuff going on there.

He has been machining the compressors and has a whole bunch finished however the limiting factor is his order has not came in for the compressor wheels.
@Robftss wanted me to update everyone that a couple more aux chargers have been sent out for test. I think he has a couple left for those that may be interested in adding it to their system. It decreases the recharge rate from 8:1 to 4:1 and helps balance a bit of the load the one controller has to do under load.

I'll let Rob comment on the price.

@Robftss and @fenton Let me know if it looks right.

This is the new video with a couple of edits. Very similar though.
