With the STI Engine Start Button, noticed how the button only lights up when you step on the clutch to facilitate starting the engine, and stays lit after the engine has started so that you can hit it again to turn it off. It is not lit when there is no immediate need to use the button. An illuminated logo on the scuff plate would not serve a purpose because the door already has a courtesy light come on when it is opened. Goto 6:48 on this video which explains how illumination serving a purpose is not rice: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaLMOSWAwdw"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaLMOSWAwdw[/ame] BTW this clip is off a documentary called Objectified which talks about industrial design (you can get this on DVD). So, come back to topic (last one). From Japan: center rear silencer is the SAME FOR ALL BRZ GRADE in each market (EDM, USDM, JDM).

no need to drill for the rear gurney flap. Just trim the sharp edges of the clips. push it into the gurney flap. Make sure it's flat. Let double sided tape do the rest |

Dude I just went out to the garage and did the same thing, and I feel so good about myself right now! Busted out my old trusty Ryobi impact drill and a 3/16 drill bit (this is just about the perfect size if you don't have a 4mm drill bit handy, as you can just push the plastic pins down the hole hard for a very secure fit), tape up the drill bit with a lot of electrical tape to have 10mm showing. Installed the gurney flap myself during lunch today, I had an even better idea than the instructions, which is to use electrical tape and pinstripe it 21mm away from the edge with the carboard template I made. Hence, when the flap is being applied, can just follow along the edge of the electrical tape. Yea you want that thing secured as you barrel down the Autobahn at 200km/h+. So I gave the dealer the 3 US part numbers, the only one that came up was for the rear spats and they want $600. I was like are you f* kidding me?!? Last edited by krayzie; 06-13-2014 at 11:16 PM. |

take a look at the list price, and this is in CND currency, so USD must be lower. |

I'm looking at the skirt lip install instructions, seems kinda complicated for the bends where you have to cut a bunch of triangles, and you gotta drill like 14 holes for the plastic plugs.
Also, they can't even get the sticker only for the gurney flap, telling me to buy another one just for the sticker. Sorry if this question has be asked before, but do you need to drill into the metal body for the side skirts? |

Not for the JDM version. Not sure about the USDM variant (if not the same).

Yerp. I'm an expert at cuttin those damn triangles out now that I've had three sets of Skirt/Lips. Take your time and make small cuts at each bend. It will allow you to contour the Skirt to the Lip. I use painters tape to secure it while I'm makin the bends/cuts. Many of us got the Ebay Small STi badge that's a replica for the Front Lip Badge for the Gurney. I picked up the real deal badge from Jparts. The only diff is the real deal looks to have a better paint for the lettering and it has anchors that sink in the Front Lip. Nope. Shouldn't be any drilling required for the Side Skirts. You will have to pull a few of the big plugs that are in the body to install the big drop in anchors. I pre-cut them with a razor to not peel much paint off of them and then pried em out with pliers. |
