I'm at 26k, haven't heard a peep since 10k, and we're not the only ones.

Pre-green dot pump, 12/12 build, never changed.

Had my Fuel pump warrantied and replaced this morning. The Technician showed me the metal parts inside the pump thats causing them to chirp. Apparently Toyota has finally replaced a new part number for it. They also replaced my stabilizer links.. Its such a relief to finally come home without those irritating Crickets!

Just wait, about 5000 km. If you get that far without the crickets returning, then you *may* be free of them.

What's the new part number?

I'm with @*LongFella, you give all that part number you could become hero of this thread.

Reporting in with the cricket problem. Noticed it on my way to Virginia Beach over Memorial Day weekend. Started at around 1100 miles, still going strong into 3300 miles. Took it into Toyota a week and a half ago for a warranty replacement on the pump after reading through all these posts. Still waiting on that part to come into the dealership. Hoping they finally have fixed this issue, but I'm doubtful. As long as my car doesn't catch fire after they replace the pump.

Adding my observations to this pile. Mine has the original pump.

Fuel from many different vendors, all with ethanol - crickets
Added 2-stroke oil - still crickets
Ran tank until low fuel light, filled with ethanol-free - no crickets
Ran again until low fuel light, added 1 gallon generic - crickets returned
Filled the rest of the tank with ethanol-free - no crickets

Until Toyota manages to design a pump that can deal with our shitty, corrosive, contaminated fuel I'll remain a devoted customer to the ethanol-free vendor in my area.

Good to know that all are exactly the same. Ethanol free is the way to go imo. My problem is the E0 near me is 90 octane. Sigh.

Good research. That last part really explains why my car constantly leaks fuel , runs like crap and catches on fire.

Exaggerate much?

Been trying to hear the crickets on these 98 degree days and I can't so far. Working on tank #2 with the Lucas Upper Cylinder lubricant. I'll have my conclusion after my third tank of gas.
