I'm thinking about getting that gas pedal for my Cayman. What are your thoughts or recommendations?

I learned how to heel/toe with that car, so the pedal and the extensions were helpful. However, now that I've figured out heel/toe, the pedal and extensions are not necessary. If you like the look/feel, like I do, they are rennline pedals. IMO, the best ones to get.

I'm still learning/refining my heel/toe technique and it is quite a reach to the gas pedal in the Cayman. I have looked at that Rennline pedal a couple of times.

Thanks for the info!

No prob. You are probably having issues because you are using the 'roll' to the side technique instead of classic stabbing at the throttle with your heel. The pedals are setup perfectly for heel stabbing, not for foot rolling. I started out with rolling, which is why I got the pedals. Then I figured out that stabbing with the heels works much better with this particular car on the track.

You're right, I did try that initially. It is much easier to stab at it with your heel. Maybe I will just practice with it as is for now and if it gives me fits, then I may get the pedal.

I wish I had something to compare them to, but I'll probably go with Mike's recommendation on the AD08R next time just to compare.

Here's after 4 track days
Mind sharing your camber specs and tire pressures? Those sidewalls look like they're in relatively good shape compared to mine.

After running Rd ATL I feel I may need to revise my wheel and tire combo. My 17x8 rpf1's and RE11's did good. But I feel I need a bigger tire in the back. My power level is low but I just couldn't get the car to rotate as much as I would like with the throttle. Specifically on turns 1, 5 and 7. I still need a lot more experience but I also felt that my -2F and -3R camber worked well out there. I was running a starting pressure of 31psi but went down to 29 psi and got much better grip. My first lap was 2:06 and my final and best was a 1:56. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1399909710716.jpg

I would think a bigger tire in back would cause you to rotate less? Also, talk to @ATL BRZ, that's his home track.

Here is a video from today at WGI. Haven't been in a track-worthy car in a while at WGI so pardon any errors you see in my video.

I'm not sure you need to go with wider tires until you have more experience on track. I have more laps at RA than any other track (around 22 total days) and last fall I was able to crank out a rougly calculated 1:53.2 and a 1:52.5 with 235/35/18 BFG G Forces and stock struts with RCE yellows, RCE sways and -1.5* F&R camber. Granted my BRZ was making ~195whp and a flat 154wtq at the time on E85 but until I see some video of your laps I'm not sure that the difference in power had much to do with our difference in lap times.

I'll be back at RA at the end of this month with PCA running my new wheel and tire setup (17x9 +42 with 245/40/17 RE-11A) and will hopefully be timing my laps more accurately and shooting GoPro video on board as usual. If you're interested in registering check www.clubregistration.net

Here is my 4/28 run at WGI, driving relatively slow since it was my first time with FR-S on track to get a feel for it. JR SC, Sprint BBK, Ohlins R&T, Toyo Proxes RA1 235/40R17, -3.4f -2.7r camber, 2 deg caster added, no toe, JR oil cooler, P&L 4-1 + Perrin 2.5" resonated, dyno tune by JR. Tires looked like new when I got off - could go 10+ mph faster in most corners...going to NJMP this weekend with NASA, and back at WGI on 7/8-7/9 with SCDA.
@Prime Motoring did a great job with the build.

I will be there. So far two instructors, that I know of, are driving 86s.

I want to see you scraping your mirror housing on the wall at the exit of T11 - use the track!

Did you run 100 octane as Jackson recommends?

BTW, you've got a 2:12 car there, give or take, so you're going to be having a ton of fun with it as you get dialled-in.

Yeah, it felt really slow but I wanted to give it a wide margin to see if anything would go wrong after the big build and to check out the dynamics safely. I did not run 100 oct fuel. Car was dyno tuned for 93 and that's what I'm running on street and track.
