so do you think a 245/35 tire with a 9.5" wheel up front would clear with offset of +38? and dialed in some neg camber around 1.5-2*?

I can't tell you definivetly as I haven't tracked down the source of my rubbing. It's only at full lock. Someone with firsthand expierence with that offset can help you out. Even if you clear the inside of everything the change in offset compared to the +45 moves you closer to the fender.

yeh i think im going to go with square 8.5"s...but heres my dumb question, just so i make sure i understand, if i used a spacer of say 5mm in the rear that would have a similar impact on the wheel's "flushness" poke whatever as a lower offset? the spacer basically pushes the wheel out more based on size of spacer? thanks and i apologize for my ignorance
i ask only because the 8.5 in the rear is going to be tucked a little more than the front and i want to try to have it a little more flush thanks

Have you tried a 5mm spacer? I think that will fix the rub in the front.

I was only able to drive the car with the new rims and tires for a day before work had me leave home for awhile so i don't know where it's rubbing yet. If it's rubbing on the inside then a spacer is a no brainer.

I had 9.5 +40 265 width and rubbed the frame at full lock in the front.

Could you run a slightly faster time with a wider rear tire? Probably. But the car wont be as fun, AND wont be as predictable if you are not experienced = double negative. That said, the 86 is still very predictable with a staggered setup~ it's just not as fun, and the balance is off, and you can't push it quite as much... yadda yadda square ftw |

Here's a pic to show you. No finger gaps. The silver lining is that even with this low I'm not experiencing any rubbing issues. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=6921 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...pictureid=7447 The RT5's +44 are with a staggered setup, the Bremmer's +40 are square. |

@King Tut, if i run a square setup with staggered offsets it should have a major impact on performance/balance?
specifically 18x8.5 +47 Front ; 18x8.5 +38 rear? my only concern with th + 47 upfront is brake clearance with the wilwood BBK. but with staggered offset- the mm from flush is almost identical which mirrors stock setup(STOCK 42.5mm from flush F/R; THIS 22.5mm FR/20.5mm Rear). thanks

i found some 18x9 wheels but they have a super high offset of +52, that helps with the poke but im worried if the wheels will be able to clear the calipers of a BBK...any thoughts on this?
