Lol I don't know man, I'm sure driving in bad weather for 6 months a year can make you a better driver in dry weather, better feel for the road?

I'm sick of winter, it's -23 and usually march break week is usually "warm". I miss having a clean car, but the car is still quite fun to drive in the snow so I can't really complain...but yea I'm complaining

To the OP, good thing you resist driving with the stock tires, you wouldn't go too far without good rubber!

I don't mind.. they installed it on the grill and not the bumper. Easy enough to remove but I'm going to keep a front plate on anyway, I've gotten pulled over for no front plate too many times on my old car.

I haven't found an alternative location I like yet on the FR-S

oh man. I hate to see all that snow on that car. can you not take it to a garage or storage?

it's been raining here in the bay area and i have not taken my car out of the garage. any moisture on the road and the car gets locked up.

low cost of living, 4 seasons per year, no large insects, no immigration problems like the south has, no earthquakes/tornadoes/hurricanes. the grass isn't always greener.

Pretty sure cost of living is way cheaper in the south

It's probably about the same, as long as you're comparing two rural areas and not including a high-pop city because that will drastically skew the results.

same cost of living, 2 seasons per year, love them scorpions in my bathtub, austin isn't like the other cities in texas that are more southern.. and I've never experienced a tornado, earthquake. hurricane yes but in houston

for someone that is a car enthusiast, I'd like to think they would enjoy somewhere that has minimal encounters with ice&snow unless they are big into wheeling

Trust me, I consider moving often. I stay because I have a great living & work situation. If/when that changes, I'll be headed down south to either FL/TX, or back out west to CA. Preferably somewhere in the bay area, but the cost of living is outrageous.
